Would you believe me when I tell you
You are the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
You are the queen of my heart
Please don't deceive me when I hurt you
Just ain't the way it seems
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?
Can you feel my love buzz?

Reading over that, it sounds like an immature statement, but I do mean it in the way that it was taken to such an extent that it was still recognisable to the original, but something amazing in it's own way (as all covers should do).
Secondly, I would have to disagree that Kurt wouldn't feel any connection to the lyrics of this song because he didn't write them. From what I can fathom from my readings, he was an avid fan of music, both Pop and Punk. These lyrics could possibly encompass his feelings towards Tracy (his girlfriend at the time of this songs launch as their debut single through Sub-Pop).
Who can ever know....you can't blame the drugs TOO much at this stage, because he pretty damn clean during these earlier days, except for the occasional heavy binge and what he did during his teens. But yeah, like I said...who can ever know.
Also, "Love Buzz" was a bit of an in-joke with Nirvana and their friends The Melvins.
Kurt idolised his friend Buzz Osborne from The Melvins, and would joke around and say the only reason he decided to cover that song was just so he could sing/ ask "Can YOU feel my love, BUZZ?".
Kurt was funny as shit and had a great personality, he really did. WONDERFUL SONG! Nirvana had a knack for owning cover versions and doing a better job than the originals, which is very rare. I even prefer Nirvana's live version of Man Who Sold The World more than Bowie's original.
Then comes the abuse whether physical or mental, but either way the aggressor believes they have a good reason. "I do it cuz I love you" or "It's all your fault" or "it wont happen again I'm not like that" Please don't deceive me When I hurt you, just ain't the way it seems
Kurt was one of the few of his time to really stand up for womens rights and this was one of the beginings. It's very vague and simpl because when all these are broke down they will all follow the same simple formula.
