Lyrics for Alcohol as interpreted by AAALEX1

Alcohol Lyrics
My baby taught me how to be
My baby taught me how to fight
My baby taught me how to die
Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol, alcohol!

My baby taught me how to smoke
My baby taught me how to breathe
My baby taught me how to hide
My baby taught me how to leave
Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol, alcohol!

My baby taught me how to choke
My baby taught me how to eat
My baby taught me how to fuck
My baby taught me how to be
Alcohol, alcohol, alcohol, alcohol!

Blandest is right. .. it is actually "High On the Hog" by TAD. HOwever the lyrics above are not accurate to hte origional version. I'm not sure if the problem is people trying to understand Cobain's words from a bad recording, or if Cobain was not sure of hte lyrics himself.

oh, and the song can be found on one of the Outcesticide albums and I think it might be on one of hte ohter "after-Nirvana-import-rarities" albums, *Pay to Play*

Here are the origoinal lyrics to the TAD version. .. very different, but who knows. . .wasn't his band's song, kurt might not have known the origional lyrics. Also, though I've never heard the version with Kurt singing, so who knows, maybe the above ones are wrong.

High on the Hog by TAD

My father spent eighteen years
Just to teach me how to hold his beer.
My father for eighteen years
Was nothing that I'll ever need.

High on the Hog
High on the Hog
High on the Hog
High on the. . .

My mother taught me how to sew
She taught me, how I'll never know
My mother for eighteen years
Taught me every I need to know.

High on the Hog
High on the Hog
HIgh on the Hog
High on the. . .

My girl taught me how to drink.
My girl taught me how to smoke.
My girl of eighteen years
Taught me everything I need to know

High on the Hog
High on the Hog
High on the Hog
High on the. . .

My dog taught me how to scratch
My dog he rakes and snatch
My dog taught me how to run
Hard through the grass it's the way of the world

High on the Hog
High on the HOg
High on the Hog
High on the. . .

everything he did, he did it while he was drunk..fighting, smoking, having sex. he didn't feel comfortable with his own self so he needed to alter his state of mind with alcohol...umm along with some other stuff. alcohol is his baby. this was originally a tad song but kurt changed it around to describe his own experience.

haha to the person who said kurt was a drunk... ur wrong. he did lots of lsd as a teen and smoked lots of pot. then after meeting courtney love became addicted to heroin. but he always said he hated the taste of alcohol so he didn't drink it often. i think the song is just him screaming radomly, he did that a lot during shows... not everything kurt did had meaning.

"this song is about the first time he got wasted. its bout his young friend("baby") who showed him booze. he was 12 i read this in a biography."

Except this is still a TAD song.
I'm pretty sure the "alcohol" is a jab at Tad's singer, who passed out drunk (aka the reason that Kurt was up there singing in the first place).
