while im not shure about the herion thing, i do know that "i love you so much, it makes me sick" part is about a time he was with a girlfriend he once had when he threw up...im shure of that much...i also thought it was "she keeps a constant strain on my heart" but whatever...

Well, He was into Heroin, Because I used to work with a guy who knew a guy that dealed heroin with him all the time. He said his wife was right along with him too. I know this is not credible, just tellen you what I heard.

um...first of all, an aneurysm is NOT heart surgery. aneurysms occur when part of a blood vessel wall is weakened and slowly starts expanding like a balloon. well after time the "balloon" pops and the person bleeds to death without even realizing what is going on. so, with all of that said, the song still doesn't make much sense; however, it's a really good song and i do agree that it is better live.

God whats wrong with you people? This is about Kurt's old girlfriend named Toby Vail from Bikini Kill. She broke up with Kurt, and it emotionlly drained him. He still had feelings for her even after the break-up "Loves you so much it makes me sick"


And about the comment about Courtney turning Kurt on Heroin.....Get your shit checked out before you post it. Kurt first tried Heroin in 1990 with a friend in Olympia, BEFORE he met Courtney. FUUUCKKK!

lusus is accurate on this - however something that hasn't been mentioned is the possibility of hearing "beat me, honor me" alternately with "outta me". it's not really confirmable, but it could twist meanings even more, kinda sounding like a love/hate thing with someone (who? tobi? his other gf tracy? dunno.)

This song is about heroin, like some others have said.

"Overdo it and have a fit" : Overdosing on heroin isn't exactly great, hence "have a fit"

"Love you so much it makes me sick" : When Kurt first tried heroin, he remarked that it wasn't anything great, it make him kinda sick. Also, opiates tend to make one nausious (sp?) or sick if they're taking in larger quantities.

"Come on over and shoot the shit" : Self-explanatory.

"She keeps it pumpin' straight to my heart" : Heroin in his bloodstream...
