Here comes the sun in the form of a girl
She's the finest, sweetest thing in the world
Uh-huh, take you to heaven tonight
I feel the horses, coming, galloping, in the summer rain,
Take you to heaven tonight, uh-huh,
'Cause I love you, for what you are,
I'll gallop to you, tonight, tonight, we'll ride,
I'll give in to you, we're going to heaven tonight
Out on the winding road, I couldn't wait, Oh baby I was afraid, headed for heaven tonight,
Uh-huh, I'll go to heaven tonight,
I feel the horses, coming, galloping,
I will never grow old, I'll go to heaven tonight,
Uh-huh, because I love you for what you are,
I'll gallop to you, tonight, tonight we'll ride,
I'll bow down to you,
We'll go to heaven tonight,

*Bridge*

I can't believe that I can be happy,
Summer will come again,
I can be happy,
Oh, stop your crying, you can be happy,
Go to heaven when you make me happy

Here comes the kiss that I never had,
Nothing feels like this, headed for heaven tonight,
Uh-huh, uh-huh, I love you,
Here comes the sun in the form of a girl,
She's the finest, sweetest thing in the world,
I'll go to heaven tonight for what you are,
I'll gallop to you, tonight, tonight, we'll ride,
I'll bow down to you, we'll go to heaven tonight,
tonight, etc.,
take it tonight, take it tonight, take me tonight

General Comment:Love wrote this song about her daughter Frances.

Frances is a Leo and Leo's are ruled by the Sun.
Hence the line "Here comes the sun in the form of a girl/She's the finest, sweetest thing in the world"

This is about how Frances helped Courtney get over Kurt's death.
Courtney has stated more than once that Frances is the only reason why she got up and keep going.
This song is about how Courtney was saved by her child, after Kurt died and telling herself that everything was going to be okay.

    Heaven to me means bliss.

General Comment:i've also heard that rumour about this song as well. it's about a girl driving down the pacific coast highway on the way to losing her virginity (to her love) but dies in an accident before she can reach him. i read it on a review a couple of months ago, and have also heard it from several other (non-official) sources (does anyone know if the meaning is written by a band member on a cd-sleeve or anything like that?). regardless, i think you can see it from that perspective (i'll give 'it' to you tonight) as well as simply a song about love and the innocent almost child-like happiness it invokes. although the tune is chirpy and cheerful, whenever i think about the former meaning of the song i do feel a little sad. so it's almost a bittersweet feeling.

General Comment:anyone who says they dont like the album celebrity skin cuz they think hole changed too much.
i think it isntt hat different from live through this or pretty on the inside. it has alot of really dark lyrics and the sound is just a contradiction, its a really complicated and well made album.

General Comment:How disgusting that a man (Courtney had a sex change, there is viable proof) claimed to be married to this icon, after they (the COG cult) murdered him in 1990. Geffen (and his boyfriend Pitt, who was snogging Love too) helped "it" steal Cobain's songs and record them with her group. It is a mockery of talent and goodness. Courtney Love, your life is in ruins and soon you will be dead. As will everyone involved in the sacrafice of Kurt Cobain.

General Comment:yeah britneylove is right - courtney said in an interview she walked in to the studio one day and told the band that they "werent going home until i have a song i can play to my daughter". eric then proceeded to write the music in about 45 minutes.
this song makes me so happy evry time i hear it. its just one of those perfect feel-good songs. not realy sure of the exact subject matter - but a little clue for everyone...STOP THINKING EVERY HOLE SONG IS ABOUT KURT.
sorry had to get that off my chest.

General Comment:This is about love and how you will go to heaven tonight metaphorically speaking just enjoying love. It is about fresh, innocent, wild love. This one of the most cheerful Hole songs, threre is no theme of death mixed in with that of love. This a very pop Hole song, with barely any rock or grunge in it. My favorite line of this song is ''Summer will come again, I can be happy''. It is winter, either real Winter or just a winter of the mind. This love with make that summer be happy, or perhaps will even make that summer happen. This song reminds me of a November night when I believed that ''Summer will come again, I can be happy''. That November night had nothing to do with love, it was just that I was really cheered up by someone from the depths of depression. It is amazing what kind words can do. The abandon of young love fills this song. My brother who hates Hole likes this song. Thiat says a lot for the appeal of this song.

General Comment:I can't remember where I heard this, but apparently it's based on the idea of a young girl who's decided she's ready to lose her virginity, but dies before she has a chance.

But I also think it could be about Frances, and Courtney telling her that as long as they have each other then things will always be in 'heaven'.

A really beautiful song, regardless of its subject.
