This song was written around 89-90. Billie hadn't met Adrienne until about 92-93 if I remember correctly. Dry Ice was originally on the "1000 Hours" EP, the whole EP being about one girl, his friend's sister.
It's a love song. A very beautiful love song. I do believe it's "Come ease the pain that's in my heart."
This is my favorite Green Day song ever.
