Here we go again, infatuation
Touches me just when I
Thought that it would end
Oh but then again it seemed
Much more than that but
I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, yeah, far away

Here we go again, infatuation
Touches me just when I
Thought that it would end
Woah, then again it seemed
Much more than that but
I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, yeah, far away

Let's go fucking crazy

Well,I toss and turn all night
Thinking of your ways of affection
But to find that it's not different at all
Well I throw away my past mistakes
And contemplate my future
That's when I say, what the hey

Would it last forever?
You and I together, hand and hand
We run away, far away
I'll beat that nasty weather
But I'll take whatever you can
Give that comes my way, far away,
Far away

General Comment:Does it really say "let's go fucking crazy"? I never caught it if it did.

Song Meaning:He has a strong attraction for a girl. He thinks its foolish and thinks it could be more than an attraction and thinks he might love her. He finds that the feeling is mutual. He puts his not so perfect past behind him and takes the chance with the girl aside from the chance that it will be a bumpy ride. Basically picking up their bags and hitting the road on a long journey together with love.

My Interpretation:I'm almost positive this song is about being infatuated with a girl, and you wonder if she feels the same.
You're thinking about your future, where you're going with your life, and if you will ever find a real strong relationship. He says "hand in hand we'll run away" which I think is faint sarcasm, because he knows it won't happen, so he clearly is thinking so outlandishly, that hes lost in her (what the hey!); letting go of his ambitions, and letting himself fall deeper in love with a girl who has little interest, if not none, in him.
We all have this problem at some point in our lives it seems :(

General Comment:I think this song is about being in love with someone, knowing that things are going to be hard always. But since you love that person so much you will go the distance, no matter what.

General Comment:I remember seeing the tour just before Dookie was relased, they had just signed to a major and were at that weird "not a headliner, but not an opener" stage and were playing in front of 400ish people. I had the first couple records and although I liked this song, it wasn't great. They came out with this and bowled us over for the next 45 minutes or so. Goddamn, it's been my favorite song ever since. Just great guitar riffs....ok, so I don't know the meaning of the song, but this is my all time favorite GD song and thanks for listening to an old man's nostalgic ranting!

General Comment:Damn, I'm just hella sad I scribbled the crap out of Billie's face in my yearbook. I guess hindsight really is 20/20. I don't remember a funeral home named Pasalacqua - but it's a winery! In fact, I don't even remember a funeral home. . .but then there isn't much any of us want to remember about Rodeo, so it is probably something else.
