Her real name is Adriene, Adie is her nick name, adie soudns like 80. On the bottle labed 80, he probably put that there on purpose, Billie Joe I mean.

man, i fucking love billie joe. yes i am one of those crazy obsessed fans, but i love him, not for looks or fame, but for his fucking mind dude. i just wish i cuold meet someone with the mind he's got.

I also love Billie Joe he is PERFECT! I saw them two weeks ago on stage and they are AWESOMEE!!! i like this song a lot, Kerplunk is one of their best albums to my criterian.
This song is about losing control when you are near or thinking about the person you love. And everything that person does changes your way of thinking or acting.
I wish I was Adie!!! I love Billie!

I figured that the 80 part was just to emphasise the theme of going insane. The way he says it very fast you know, I thought it was about how his girlfriend is driving him crazy. Not as in making him angry, just making him think weirdly.

80's name is spelt "Adrienne", not "Adriene". It's tattooed on billie's right forearm. You can see it clearly in the "Waiting" video.

I hope 80 & bj's relationship is pain free and wonderful.

Adriennes' nickname is adie. I guess he thought 80 made more sense. Anyway. Adrienne is so lucky. This is such a sweet song. It's one of my favorites on the Kerplunk! CD.

I have an interesting story with this song......as I was sitting outside my biology class...I was listening to this song...I knew that the grl I liked had her class next to mine....but I didnt want to approach her because I had been getting bad vibes the entire week. So i just continued to sit there and listen...the very first verse had finished when I looked up and saw her walking towards me to come talk to me....it was just amazing because I thought she had been trying to avoid me all this time, but here she was walking towards me to come talk to me...and while we were talking there these short 5 second moments of silence where we'd just look at eachothet in the eyes....anyone who has deeply cared for someone knows what that feels like...^.^
