Mamunia Mamunia Mamunia
Oh Oh Oh
Mamunia Mamunia Oh Oh Oh Oh

The Rain Comes Falling From The Sky,
To Fill The Stream That Fills The Sea
And That's Where Life Began For You And Me

So The Next Time You See Rain It Ain't Bad,
Don't Complain It Rains For You,
The Next Time You See L.A. Rainclouds,
Don't Complain It Rains For You And Me

Mamunia...

It Might Have Been A Bright Blue Day
But Rainclouds Had To Come This Way
They're Watering Everything That They Can See.

A Seed Is Waiting In The Earth
For Rain To Come And Give Him Free,
So The Next Time You See L.A. Rainclouds
Don't Complain, It Rains For You.

So Lay Down Your Umbrellas
Strip Off Your Plastic Macs.
You've Never Felt The Rain My Friend,
Till You've Felt It Running Down Your Back

So The Next Time You See Rain, It Ain't Bad
Don't Complain, It Rains For You.
The Next Time You See L.A. Rainclouds
Don't Complain It Rains For You And Me.

Mamunia...

General Comment:I have no idea what 'mamunia' means, but I would guess at either rain or its a place known for its rain.

Great song though, sort of a mix between a love song and a love song dedicated to nature. Maybe experienced a trip with a loved one and it rained, but still had a great time. This song doesn't even have to mean anything, the feeling it gives you when you listen to it is enough.

General Comment:one of the most amazing songs ever... and 'no words' makes it a spectacular one-two punch.

It's funny how obscure these songs have become. One of the greatest albums from one of the greatest musicians from one of the most popular bands of all time, and almost nobody I know has even heard this.

    Epic.

General Comment:'mamunia' is arabic for 'safe haven', which i really think is what paul mccartney was reffering to in this song. he really captured a feeling of safety and comfort; sanctuary-like, i guess. i love this song so much, especially since the rain makes me feel the same...

General Comment:I always assumed the work Mamunia was either slang (I've never heard it) or possibly a term from Nigeria where the Band on the Run album was recorded. Because of this song I've assumed it means 'rain'. Lyrically it's almost a remake of the Beatles 'Rain' - musically it doesn't sound anything like it.
