Lyrics for Bombtrack as interpreted by piesupreme

Bombtrack Lyrics
Ughh! Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...ughh!
Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...yeah!
It goes a-one, two three and
It's just another bombtrack
And suckas be thinkin' that they can fade this
But I'm gonna drop it at a higher level
'Cause I'm inclined to stoop down
Hand out some beat-downs
Cold runna train on punk ho's that
Think they run the game
But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete at a level that's obsolete
Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
As I recall our downfall
And the business that burned us all
See through the news and the views that twist reality
Enough
I call the bluff
Manifest destiny

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Yes ya gonna burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn

It goes a-one, two, three
Another funky radical bombtrack
Started as a sketch in my notebook
And now dope hooks make punks take another look
My thoughts ya hear and ya begin to fear
That ya card will get pulled if ya interfere

With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Yes ya gonna burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn

Euurrrggghhhhh!
Uggh! Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...
Check it out...

Modified chorus
Burn!

It's just another bombtrack (A song that 'bombs' the world with new meaning. This song is the first track on the album, so it probably introduces what kind of music they do)
And suckas be thinkin' that they can fake this (And others think that they can fool others into thinking something other then what they are doing)
But I'm gonna drop it at a higher level (As someone who can see through their lies, he's going to reveal it to the world)
'Cause I'm inclined to stoop down (He feels the need to look at the ignorant masses and tell them)
Hand out some beat-downs (tell us about the 'left' side of the government and such)
Cold runna train on punk ho's that
Think they run the game (Surprise the gov whom think that they control everything)
But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete at a level that's obsolete (his beliefs about the government is what he 'learned' and he 'deleted those who compete' by informing people of what he knows through RATM)
Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
As I recall our downfall (Instead of fighting against the government directly, he decided to fight them though protest and music)
And the business that burned us all (they originally wanted the land in the west for economical purposes, and to expand their empire)
See through the news and the views that twist reality (Seeing through the media that makes people think other then what's really happening)
Enough
I call the bluff
F*ck Manifest destiny (Manifest Destiny was a term used to cover up their intentions of spreading their empire)

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn (USA took the people of California and the lands of the west, making them shift their nationality to American, dispite their beliefs. And dispite what they have protested, USA seemed to 'burn' them by ignoring them and most likely shooting down whomever tried to resist (just saying that they may have done that before)

With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline (From military leaders, the commands over 'hardlines' (i thought it had some relation to some form of communication))

It goes a-one, two, three
Another funky radical bombtrack
Started as a sketch in my notebook (it started out as a simple writing thing... but now it's a 'war' against the government)
And now dope hooks make punks take another look
My thoughts ya hear and ya begin to fear
That ya card will get pulled if ya interfere (the people now look in fear at the gov after hearing Zach's words in meaning, so now they think the same and for that, they could be killed for trying to intefere with the gov's activities)

basically this song is about how Rage is now going to introduce you into the REALITY from this 'American Dream' that you have been learning about since you were 5. They will help you see through the LIES that the government and media tell you in order to get you to obey and believe what they are doing, is right.

I have read the first couple of statements and some have been close to right but not close enough, and I'm not sure if someones already said this 'cause I haven't read all the comments, but this is right. Manifest Destiny is a nationalistic phrase that expressed the belief that the U.S. had a mission to expand, spreading its form of democracy and freedom. Advocates of Manifest Destiny believed that expansion was not only good, but it was obvious ("manifest") and inevitable ("destiny"). Originally a political catch phrase of the 19th century, "Manifest Destiny" eventually became a standard historical term, often used as a synonym for the territorial expansion of the U.S. across North America towards the Pacific Ocean.

Ahh boy, nobody can make music quite like Ratm. Zach's flow is nice in the beginning, it's pretty aggressive and all arond sick just like the album it's on. IMHO, the S/T album has some of Rages finest work.

Zach wrote it about conquering the odds, shoving a "bombtrack" in the faces of all of his enemies. Those enemies include the "landlords and powerwhores", or the landowners and politicians, that oppress his people.

The line in the first verse actually goes 'But i'm a drop-it at a higher level' - according to my tab book anyway. Not sure if this changes anything, but still, might be nice to know.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys r such dumb shits! You all clearly DO NOT know what bombtrack is all about. The song is clearly about the gay rights movement in New York City during the 1970's. JESUS..... Sort your shit out and get it right da first time....... peace out

...There's plenty of gay rights activism out there, and there's probably some in RATM's lyrics, but how you would come to the conclusion Bombtrack has anything to do with it baffles me...

"Another funky radical bombtrack
Started as a sketch in my notebook
And now dope hooks make punks take another look"
I thought this last line was Zack saying it isn't until he put the words to music that people would pay attention to what he's saying.

z just wanted attention. smile, z.

sudden recall: first time i wrote anything on the internet was on a now-defunct rage board. all the rage i had back then.

might wana check out Pretty Incomplete RATM Site for comprehensive explanations of lyrical references. webmaster's a perfectionist hence the name but it's far from it.

TRIVIA: BOMBTRACK doubly refers to nuclear missiles on a railroad track, missiles negotiated by Fidel and Che be brought to Cuba as insurance against future Bay of Pigs, and for Cuban sovereignty in the long term. Kennedy was first informed about the missiles via U2 spyplane photos showing..a bombtrack.

Zack wishes his band & his craft to have the same effect on the US ruling class as what the photos did for Kennedy and his staff.

Delta joy is wrong. Manifest destiny was about America expanding its borders to the west, not about any nationalized devine right or whatever he suggested.

I think the song is about the Native americans and Sitting Bull who was arrested for murder of a CIA agent, or something along those lines. I also think its about Rage's abilities to raise awareness to the screwed up trial.

i see it as this..
And suckas be thinkin' that they can fade this
But I'm gonna drop it at a higher level
people think that hes just another rapper but hes not, he adresses important issues.

'Cause I'm inclined to stoop down
Hand out some beat-downs
Cold runna train on punk ho's that
Think they run the game
He has the urge to stoop down to the lower level of rappers who think that theyre the shit.

But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete...at a level that's obsolete
but instead he just ignores the rappers leaves them to their pointless existance.

Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
As I recall our downfall
And the business that burned us all
See through the news and the views that twist reality
its his mission to show how capitalism and places like america and big business have sold everyone out, but he can percieve their lies.

Enough
I call the bluff
Fuck Manifest destiny
hes calling the bluff to try and put an end to their shit

thats just my interpretation of it.

its rages first song and zack is just outlining what hes all about.

So listen to a guy from Poland (the land of the bravest people in the world by the way , the only country that stood against the Nazis in 1939 (my grandad fought then) when France and England and few others were chickens , well, cool to boast about it here but it`s not the point right now) who graduated from English/American studies. Menifest destiny was in fact believing that the US was a country chosen by God to expand over the land of todays North America. And in believing that a lot of white bastards (am white myself btw) could murder anyone that didn`t want to surrender which means NATIVE AMERICANS. Zach uses too sophisticated English for me to understand all but most of his songs are about how white Europeans mistreated (a mild word for genocide) anyone else who didnt fit because of skin color or lower level of development. I admire US a lot , but you guys have to realize that you are historically ignorant not only to world`s history but also to your own one. Finally , a question , why do you kinda worship Columbus (who also was a murderer of natives) if there are now proofs that the Blacks from Africa reached the shore of America earlier then Columbus did ? Answer yourselves. Anyway , still love your country for Micheal Jordan , Pearl Jam and PRS guitars

Who in America worships Columbus? I think they're just stoked to get the day off work Vedder.
Like Chris Rock once said "It's not like anyone's putting 3 ships on their front lawn"
