Lyrics for Bombtrack as interpreted by piesupreme

Bombtrack Lyrics
Ughh! Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...ughh!
Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...yeah!
It goes a-one, two three and
It's just another bombtrack
And suckas be thinkin' that they can fade this
But I'm gonna drop it at a higher level
'Cause I'm inclined to stoop down
Hand out some beat-downs
Cold runna train on punk ho's that
Think they run the game
But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete at a level that's obsolete
Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
As I recall our downfall
And the business that burned us all
See through the news and the views that twist reality
Enough
I call the bluff
Manifest destiny

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Yes ya gonna burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn

It goes a-one, two, three
Another funky radical bombtrack
Started as a sketch in my notebook
And now dope hooks make punks take another look
My thoughts ya hear and ya begin to fear
That ya card will get pulled if ya interfere

With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline

Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn

Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Yes ya gonna burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn

Euurrrggghhhhh!
Uggh! Hey you, it's just another bombtrack...
Check it out...

Modified chorus
Burn!

kinda straightforward song of aggression. anyway he sings here "f*ck Manifest Destiny". Manifest Destiny was a 19th centurey social concept in the US claiming America was a nation chosen by God to lead the rest of the world out of "darkness"; that it was America's "destiny" to do so.

delta joy is an idiot, well thats harsh, jus misnfored (well i can see why, i mean he/she listens to ratm, but american manifest destiny wasnt a belife that america was gods chosent country to rule the world, american manefest destiny was the belife that america should expand all the way to the east coast... there is a major difrence... im not trying to get down on you, just be more informd before u make claims...

Well you must be misinformed as well, forget the stars, because America was established on the east coast, so expanding all the way to it would mean America would stay on the east coast, so I believe you should be more informed before making claims. And btw, it wasn't the idea of expanding to the east coast, it was actually a doctrine that the good, ol' US of A had the right and duty to expand throughout the North American Continent.

you actually are all misinformed, when zack said "enough i call the bluff, manifest destiny" he was actually stating that america was not just trying to gain land like they said, they were actually just searching for more controll

this song is just an angry outlash at the people who now live and control and own the land that used to belong to mexico, which was forcefully taken in the Mexican war. Pretty much all you guys were true, i really dont know why you guys are all squabbling like children.
"landlords and power whores(america) holds all my people they took turns(controlled, enslaved) dispute their suits, i ignite and then watch em burn(anger, duh!)

Deltajoy was right. Manifest Destiny is the thought that america was chosen by god to rule the entire North American continent.

this song isn't about Zapatistas (indians in mexico dealing with the mexican land divisions)... its about Native Americans in the US... this song was written before the movement even was known...

Landlords and power whores (the feds)
On my people they took turns (opression)
Dispute the suits I ignite (treaties, lawsuits, rebellion, etc.)
And then watch 'em burn (burn as in deny them...)

now he says he is gonna fight back

they are gonna burn... as in its their turn.. so the one guy is right... but its about US Native Americans.. hence the manifest destiny.. oh and he was using that to explain their justification for their opression

oh.. and forget the stars... stupideest guy ever.. listening to rage=dumb? name one more band of the 90s that reached out politically to as many ppl? you can't... you were to busy listening to the ""underground"" ""beats"" of Limp Bizkit and Korn? wren't ya? u pansy

awesome song... but as far as the meaning goes, what should we do about mexican land taken during the 1800s? Give it back?

Dude, this has got to be one of the best RATM songs I've heard, and I did say one of them... just from hearing their '92 album, I'd say they have a lot more good stuff out there... obviously. But this song is just plain awesome, I mean their guitar rocks and I love how they portray their meanings behind the words.... rock on RATM!

Yeah i have to agree with diggle, that its about native american indians. But why then is the film clip about that "shinning path" militia, movement, group thingo? i dont what the Tibetian word for it is but i know in English it means "shining path." You know Tom Morellos dad is suppose to be like a guerilla fighter in "shining path" thing.

I know it's annoying when people stray from the meaning of the song and instead jabber on about the band or the riff, but I just have to say that the guitar for this is ACEYS and I just love playing it. I'm so glad my guitar teacher taught me this, I love it.

What actually is the meaning of Hardline? This may be ridiculous but I really don't understand what it means within the context of the song, apart from Goverments taking a 'hard line' on the people.

Honestly? I'm a pyro, so the title caught my attention, and then the repetative line of "burn burn, yes your gonna burn" also got me stoked. That on top of the guitar riff is why I love this song so much. Thats what it means to me.

hey hednirvana ... no affence but im a canadian and you might kno you american history but you dont see what the american media covers up ... you guys still belive in manifest destiny why do you think you guys declaired war on iraq... because then you guys would controll all the major oil companys in the world and will be able to controll every growning country... and america did belive in manifest destiny because canada was afraid of the u.s at one point ... they were afraid of it when there was a gold rush over in british columbia one of canadas province's close to alaska.. they were afraid of the americans takeing power once they have herd of such a big gold rush ... and that was in the west .... so you can prove me wrong in the history part but about you guys still beliveing in manifest destiny haah i kno im rite there... and i agree with you point to some extent but i do agree with deltajoy more then you
