    General Comment:I think this song is talking about looking back at someone you loved when they don't talk to you anymore. Like looking back at the good times you had with them, trying to hold on to the 'good vibrations' they sent you.

    The beginning of the song symbolizes meeting and falling in love for the first time; having a fantastic relationship. The middle represents drifting apart from your loved one and eventually, by the end of the song represents getting over them and moving on.

    Listen to the words, I may be wrong; but I think that's what Brian Wilson was trying to convey when he orchestrated this piece to flow like it does with such beautiful lyrics.

    General Comment:This song is about quantum jumps within an atom. An electron can be "excited" to a higher energy level.

    When it drops back down again a photon of light is released. The "vibrations" are on about the frequencies shown in the emission spectra of molecules which can be used in chemical analysis of substances.

    General Comment:Good Vibrations is a great song in the history of rock n roll. The vocals and the music are so great.

    But the instrument the beach boys used to produce this theremin sound wasn't a real theremin.
    A theremin is played without touching the antennas.
    They played a so called "Tannerin", an instrument invented by Paul Tanner. It has got the same sound as a theremin but it's played by touching a metal surface with a metal stylus.

    General Comment:Most people think the male is typically the aggressor in the mating process.

    They are wrong. Studies show the female almost invariably sends him positive non-verbal communication (i.e. a smile, playing with her hair, etc.) which gives him the confidence to risk rejection and approach her.

    The female in this song is sending our hero positive non-verbal communication.

    I remember hearing this song for as long as I have lived (it was released around the time I was conceived) and I have never gotten sick of it.
