Lyrics for Learn To Be Still as interpreted by Demau Senae

Learn To Be Still Lyrics
It's just another day in paradise
As you stumble to your bed
You'd give anything to silence
Those voices ringing in your head
You thought you could find happiness
Just over that green hill
You thought you would be satisfied
But you never will-
Learn to be still
We are like sheep without a shepherd
We don't know how to be alone
So we wander 'round this desert
And wind up following the wrong gods home
But the flock cries out for another
And they keep answering that bell
And one more starry-eyed messiah
Meets a violent farewell-
Learn to be still
Learn to be still

Now the flowers in your garden
They don't smell so sweet
Maybe you've forgotten
The heaven lying at your feet

-Solo-

There are so many contridictions
In all these messages we send
(We keep asking)
How do I get out of here
Where do I fit in?
Though the world is torn and shaken
Even if your heart is breakin'
It's waiting for you to awaken
And someday you will-
Learn to be still
Learn to be still

You just keep on runnin'
Keep on runnin'

I think the Eagles are one of the Greatest classic bands around. My dad got me into them actually, and I think they're pretty cool.

This is my favorite Eagles song-- as far as I get it.. it's about someone who is never satisfied with her own surroundings, no matter how good the conditions may be-- someone who is never satisfied. Reminds me of myself, actually.

This is like one of my top three eagle songs but i can't decide what the others are and there are way to many to have a top 10 even. Something about the lyrics just attract my ears.

I think this song is about more than just the girl...they use her as an example of people in general, not being satified with their lives...That we all can relate to her story and we can all relate to the questions that we ask....this is a heavenly song that reminds us to stop and realize the things that we have around us...bc although she is in paradise, where most about think of happiness and perfection, but she still has the same things going on in her head....we should "learn to be still" and listen to ourselves and answer the questions for ourselves instead of finding just another "messiah" to flock too...

Reminds me of Sheryl Crow's song, Soak Up the Sun when she says:
"Its not having what we want, but wanting what we have"

You don't have to be in paradise to find "How do I get out of here? Where do I fit in?", but rather we need to "learn to be still" and listen to ourselves!
