Lyrics for Joga as interpreted by Nelly

Joga Lyrics
All these accidents that happen
Follow the dot
Coincidence makes sense
Only with you
You don't have to speak
I feel
Emotional landscapes
They puzzle me

Then the riddle gets solved and you push me up to this :
State of emergency
How beautiful to be
State of emergency
Is where I want to be

All that no-one sees
You see
What's inside of me
Every nerve that hurts you hea
Deep inside of me
You don't have to speak
I feel
Emotional landscapes
They puzzle me
Confuse

Then the riddle gets solved and you push me up to this :
State of emergency
How beautiful to be
State of emergency
Is where I want to be
State of emergency
How beautiful to be

Emotional landscapes
They puzzle me

Then the riddle gets solved and you push me up to this :
State of emergency
How beautiful to be
State of emergency
Is where I want to be
State of emergency
How beautiful to be
State of emergency...

most people who have loved someone, which is hopefully everyone, do not think of love and hate as parallels. this song perfectly shows her abilty to write music, and express her views as confusion and infatuation as parallels.

Id never heard about the best friend thing. I thought it was a celebration of Iceland's geographical/emotional landscape (one in the same to her I think), like the beauty in its force; delicacy and destruction. Its the typical Bjork thing of embracing contradiction as beauty. I think these comments are more relevant to the video than the song now I think about it, but sound and visuals bleed into one with Bjork, so its all good.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. We should all be so lucky to have a friendship this strong.

Coincidence makes sense only with you.

p.s. - Bjork is amazing.

This song is very well composed and uses the string accompaniment very well. It is a beautiful tribute to anyone and it makes me feel so delighted to know that there really is such love between friends out there if not for me. I appreciate bjork so much more to hear this song and know that she feels this way about someone to write a song to share with us all.

i think its about the highs and lows and general emotional rollercoaster that is being in love.

VESPER TEEN, i like your simple and honest to god interpretations of songs. at least you can form your own opinions without having to "research" what someone else says a song is about.

I adore this song. It is so beautiful. It is appropriate, I find, to listen to when stressed out with the over emotional. It reminds me of how silly things can be, and rather than to distress over them to enjoy their existence.

And Mr. Crabby Pants with the research (electricdylan), music is an art, hence its open for interpretation.

To elecricdylan at least vesper teen made their own interpretation w/ their own mind. If you have to do 'research' to understand a song maybe you shouldn't be listening to it.

This is by far my favorite song of all time thus far in my life and I can see that it will be for quite sometime. All most like a long term relationship. Much like (what I've read) is like Bjork's relationship to the friend she is referring to in her song. It's really nice to know what it means to Bjork, but to me this song in the embodiment of life it's self. To me every emotion is expressed in this song and it has captured my love. Bjork has quite an amazing ability to express herself and I think she does so well in this song. Bless her! Go Bjork!

this is probably my fav. song too... it's just so powerfully moving with the volcanic beats and the warm strings beneath her soaring voice.. the incredible images in the video blow my mind away as well.. my friend sam almost cries everytime we watch/listen to it!>it's just that gorgeous... just another 'emotional landscape' that we get to experience from the incredible world of bjork!

The techno is this song is so natural. hehe
The beats were meant to imperssionate a volcanic eruption, parallel and symbolic towards the relationship with her friend. I

let me tell you guys a little story about me and my best friend,a story that,in my opinion perfectly explains "coincidence makes sense only with you".one day my best friend had to give an exam for his driving license and he had to wait there all day long untill it was his turn to give the exam(we live in romania and things go slower around here...).so I told him that I could skipp school that day if he wanted me to stick around.he said there`s no need to and that I should stay in school better. So I went to school.and at around one o clock I got bored and I decided to go home, though I had an other class.on my way home I told to myself I`ll take a detour and just wander around the town .and ...for my surprise...I ran into my best friend infront of a huge buiding sitting in the cold and smiling at me."did you call?"I asked."yes."he said.
so...there is telepathy between two persons who care a lot about each other...and there`s no such thing as concidence when it comes to the two of us.and even though we`ve had some arguments in the past I can still feel him when he`s troubled and it`s the same to him.

white fly, i know english is a second language to you. but just to help you out, when you are being tested, you would use the word "take", as in "i must take an exam". for a while, i thought you meant that your friend was a driving instructor or something.

amberlinn, I see that as referring to a connect-the-dots puzzle, where a seemingly random, accidental spread of points turns out to have a definite pattern.

As to what it means in the context of the song as a whole... I couldn't tell you.

what does she say towards the end of the song? (before she says "state of emergency.." at the end)
