"Atheist are not stupid, and don't try to cram your religion down their troats." WoW...glad to know every atheist is bright:) Are all Asians bright? ) And, yes, many cram their lack of belief and their intollerance of faith down the throats of Christians. There is more bigotry perpetrated against Christians than against atheists...the Hollywood TV and movie producers (and musicians) just LOVE to nail Christians. It's the latest sport...all the rage. You seldom hear songs by non-Christian bands that champion faith and you seldom see TV shows where the Christians are the good guys. Satan is in ALL our lives just as God is; weather you choose to believe God is the center of the universe or YOU are is your decision. But at least be HONEST when posting.

When I studied the life of Jesus Christ, I was intrigued by what he meant by "love thy neighbours" -after teaching the parable of the good samaritan. When I did some research, he meant love even others who are different from us. The list is long. It is a great responsibility that we Christians have. <br />

Well said above, I agree with you! We are not to judge people, 1/ because we Christians are going to church to learn, to change, which means without that, we would probably be worse than others, and 2/ If we think people have struggles we are to love them and reach out to them. That is what Christianity is supposed to be. I am sure Jesus Christ cries when he hears people take his name upon him and act so not like him. He loves us all: Black, White, Christians, non-Chritian, homosexuals.....

One of my favorite people in this world is a highly educated, very kind, devout athesist (a born Jew). Many who don't believe are great people, but I've noticed that many of them were raised Christian. They were impacted by God's teachings in a positive way before using their free will to choose not to believe. I'm sure, too, there are wonderful atheists who were raised as atheists, too. The bottom line is we can be great human beings, but God expects us to believe and we will not reap the after rewards unless we believe (regardless of how nice we are).

That is so true!!!! Thanks for that! We had a lesson at church a few months ago, telling us that we all were given challenges in this life, and differences we have to overcome and we are not to judge those who have feelings towards the same gender. These are real feelings and very difficult to overcome. We are to be very sensitive towards them, because if this was given to us, what would we do????

I worked with two different well-educated women (at different locals) who were both in their 40's and gay (with partners). They attended church every Sunday (both Baptist). I asked each how they could attend with their knowledge of God's (and the church's) stand on homosexuality. They shocked me (not only by their attendance); both asked me to pray for them. They said they are sinners who choose to sin in the name of love (of the females in their lives). They loved God, and hoped he would forgive them. Sue and Carol were their names, and their plight has always remained with me. They continued to believe in (and worship) a God that found their actions sinful. THEY are true Christians...they have failings, but we all do in one way or another, but their faith in God remained unbroken. I was (am) so impressed, and I hope/pray God finds a place for these special women in Heaven when it's their time.

We, as Christians, are supposed to have more compassion for those who carry larger crosses than we...homosexuals; handicapped; drug-addicted; etc. That's why we are to judge behaviors, not people.

We must not fall into thinking because we are Christians that we are better than others. My dad was not a Christian and was a better person than I am. One of my brothers does not have any faith and is a really sweet person, who often acts better than I do.

Thanks for sharing that. I know one thing, is that God's plan is merciful and beautiful! When we understand how much he loves his children, we can surely imagine that he has a plan for us to go back to him, back home. <br /> When we judge others, we offend HIM so much. I realize this more and more. I have children and I could not bear if anyone said anything unkind about them no matter what their struggles. I would want people to be kind to them and love them. That makes me realize how God feels about us all.

He does love us all, but he is not policially correct and we, as Christians, are not supposed to care what is popular in the secular world. He loves all humans, but he does not condone actions he deems sinful, such as homosexual sex. Being a homosexual (for example) is not sinful. Him/her engaging in gay sex is. NOT a popular opinion, but as Christians we aren't supposed to pick just the easy teachings to adhere to. We also have to extend our hearts to those who carry those heavy crosses, for it is not easy for (example) a homosexual male/female to refrain from gay sex.

I am so glad God is my judge at the end of this life, because no one can be so merciful, loving and understanding as he is!

I too once heard at church that there are people who are more tried than some of us. I believe that to be true. As you said above, some have larger crosses to bear. I once was asked to visit a lady who suffered with drug addiction for years. When I sat with her and she told me the things she had gone through in her life, and the reason why she depended so much on drugs, I felt small! I felt like my trials were nothing compared to her. I knew this person was a very special spirit to have had to go through so much in her life and be such a special person!!! My heart melted!!!!!

There is always somoene who has it worse than we do. Once we realize that we are able to have more compassion. I thought I had the worst childhood of any kid until I began working with rape and abuse victims (women and children). My eyes opened wide. God gives us many blessings, but unfortunately they are often overshadowed by the negatives in our lives. Whenever I feel my life is in the toilet I think of some of the people I've met throughout life who had been raped; or had no home; or were drug-addicted; or who lost custody of their children; or had a child dying from disease. THEN I realize just how blessed I am.
