    General Comment:Ok - interesting comments but this song is surely about someone who has an obsession with another person who is unobtainable (married, famous...??) It is a kind of sad and deluded world in which the singer lives - he interprets any smile as just meant for him and he is reading something more into it than there should be. Melancholic - beautiful.........

    General Comment:I see how this song could be hinting at oral sex. However I always thought it was about a cheating woman. She had that mischievous sexy smile that she showed to him, and they shared passion. And he wants more of her but her actions are secret because she is with someone else. Thats just my take on it, I dont see why everyone has to go straight for oral just because they said smile... I mean what would you say he said something about her secret eyes?

So here there is the obvious interpretation "a love song about a beautiful and popular woman, who jet sets around the world, but has an intimate smile shared with her special lover". "another interpretation "a song about oral sex or a smile on "a lower set of lips". Another image I get from this song is that she is a hooker and he is a sad punter who thinks that she has special feelings for him.
    If a song is abstract enough many meanings can be found.
