Hey!? Is this thing on?

I saw him dancing there by the record machine
I knew he must have been about seventeen
The beat was going strong
Playing my favorite song

And I could tell it wouldn't be long
Until he was with me

Yeah, me

And I could tell it wouldn't be long
Until he was with me

Yeah, with me singing

I love rock 'n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock 'n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

Ow!

He smiled, so I got up and asked for his name
"That don't matter," he said, "because it's all the same"
I said, "Can I take you home where we can be alone?"
And next we were moving on
And he was with me, yeah, me
And we were moving on
Singing the same old song

Yeah, with me

Singing
I love rock 'n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock 'n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me

I love rock 'n' roll
Because it suits my soul
I love rock 'n' roll, yeah . . .

I said, "Can I take you home where we can be alone?"
And next thing we were moving on
And he was with me, yeah, me,
And we were moving on
And singing that same old song

Yeah, with me

Singing
I love rock 'n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock 'n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
I love rock 'n' roll (I love rock 'n' roll)
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock 'n' roll

So come and take your time and dance with me
(Dance with me)

I love rock 'n' roll (I rock 'n' roll)
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby (so dance with me)
I love rock 'n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me (dance with me)

I love rock 'n' roll (oh . . .)
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby (oh . . .)

I love rock 'n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me (dance with me)

I love rock 'n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock 'n' roll

So come and take your time and dance with me!

General Comment:The Arrows (band members Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker) wrote the song in 1975 and released the original version. Joan Jett covered it years later and so did Britney.

General Comment:No, Joan Jett covered this song. It was originally recorded by The Arrows in 1975. Written by Arrows members Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker. Buy the Joan Jett autobiography book "Bad Reputation" by Dave Thompson and learn the truth. Joan Jett and Britney are covering an Arrows song.

General Comment:This is NOT a Joan Jett cover. Stop the lies! This is an Arrows song, they are the original artists and they wrote the song. Joan Jett covered an Arrows song, Britney Spears also covered an Arrows song. Composers Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker, copyright RAK Music Publishing 1975. Your header is fraudulent and misleading. Credit the real songwriters and the actual original artists! Not the corporate hyped spin story. Reality is better.

General Comment:this cover is so 2000's
if there is someone to bring this amazing song back, then she's the one to do it: britney spears.
i mean many teenagers found out about this song trough britney.
don't tell me they are stupid because they didn't know before because that would be lame. i am talking about teenagers nowadays.
anyway... last night, this song was the party starter.
all of the people were bored, and all of the sudden they jumped straight in their legs, dancing to this song by britney. the next few hours were crazy haha
my point is that britney rocks the clubs. no matter what.

General Comment:Britney Spears IS an artist.
People LIKE y'all are probably the reason her life is the way it is at the moment.
&& the only reason people are freakin out is that bc she is a celebrity.
Other people do the same stuff she has done all the time && nobody cares.
    Stop Britney Hatin©

General Comment:ha ha. again why is she credited as the artist. i never really liked joan jett, but her talent makes britney look like a pile of garbage. just goes to show how much britney cant write her own stuff makes me wanna shoot myself(also makes me think of the poor rolling stones)

General Comment:Poppy people don't like rock n' roll so why sing about it. Rolling stones and Joan jett should beat the crap out of spears.
