Bad company
Always on the run
Destiny is the rising sun
Oh I was born six gun in my hand
Behind a gun I'll make my final stand
That's why they call me

Bad company
And I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
Till the day I die
Till the day I die

Rebel souls
Deserters we are called
Chose a gun and threw away the sword
Now these towns
They all know our name six gun sound is our claim to fame
I can hear them say

Bad company
And I won't deny
Bad bad company
Till the day I die
Till the day I die

Bad
Bad company
I can't deny
Bad company
Till the day I die
And I say it's
Bad company oh yeah, yeah
Bad company
Till the day I die oh yeah

Tell me that you are not a thief
Oh but I am
Bad company
It's the way I play
Dirty for dirty
Oh somebody double-crossed me
Double-cross
Double-cross

Yeah
We're bad company
Kill in cold blood

General Comment:it's not that bad, but it can't hold a candle to the original. Paul Rodger's voice is so fitting to this song, anyone trying to cover it is screwed from the start.

My Interpretation:being down and puttn in work for the gang. it is the life of a G. plain and simple. each line of the song is about gangs and how youngsters are swept up and live through the hard times. WEST LOS

General Comment:I read last week that Paul Rodgers has the undisputable best voice in Rock & Roll; and you should hear him sing this on the Bad Co Live
video. Listen to the way he finishes a sentence, and the modulation in his voice (ex the words ...away, know, claim, fame....he is really unbelievably good. )

ps check the energy levels of each member in the band on this song: the drummer is over the top, and the guitar does the thrills with bends and vibrato simulaneously...I have Never seen energy like that B4

I can not believe that you cried.,. squeven..( that seems soo apropos )...
but then I Can Believe you cried...are you a musician or just have a great ear for music?

Song Meaning:I believe that bad company was written about a desserting confederate company in the civil war (Rebel souls- Confederates or rebels, Desserters we are called obviously they have desserted . They were infamous because of their vigilantie reputations. He leads the company but is double crossed much like other Rebel groups.

General Comment:One of the finest rock songs ever written. The symbollic fight to survive, to win and to succeed, in life and in music. It's about life, in every avenue and aspect. Relates to all of us from time to time. Great stuff, great album and Paul Rodgers is still the finest voice in rock!
