I am here, take this I can't feel anyway I can't hurt I can't bleed
But I can kneel as well as you once did
Deep inside I can feel the screams
Growing louder every day Crying out for a new rain
Manipulate my submission To push this pain onto myself
Mama said that she would save me
The angels said that they would save me I can fly I can away
So why does the pavement
Look so damn close

General Comment:the kid still loves his dad even after the abuse . . . "Daddy catch me" . . . because he still loves his dad with the childlike love and innocence kids posess.

i was talking to my mom about this song. and we hoped that it wasn't a true story. and although i'm sure it's not a true story, i'm for certain that the abuse kids just like the little boy in the song endure is true.

    beautiful. absolutely beautiful.

General Comment:First, after reading punkinsd's meaning from the book... WOW! What an amazing song. There are so many ways you can interpret a song but.. The lyrics are great. If you listen, I mean it's blatent, but with 55 secs. left he says " Daddy catch me " That sorta ripped at me because you know that ultimately the child still places the burden on his father to take care of, and look over him. That song is amazing though!

General Comment:Isn't break the cycle a name of an album. Jus joking, i can relate to this song for the mere fact that I've been abused. And well I've stayed strong through it all with the help of this song. BOy sets fire have made a positive impact on my life in numerous areas, Through their song rookie, they've helped me stay away from drugs no matter how bad my life goes, just to keep pushing through the ruff times with my own will, not with drugs.

General Comment:This song is really directed to people that are directly affected by child abuse. It is about the cycle- if your parents abused you, then statistics show that you will probably abuse your kids. It is about breaking that cycle. So, if you were abused- listen carefully to this song and you will understand the pain that it causes. Break the cycle.
