She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

Have you seen her dressed in blue?
See the sky in front of you
And her face is lik a sail
Speck of white so fair and pale
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

Have you seen her all in gold?
Like a queen in days of old
She shoots her colors all around
Like a sunset going down
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colors ev'rywhere
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

She's like a rainbow
Coming, colors in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colors

My Interpretation:It's obviously a sexual double entendre! If you don't realise this then you just don't get the rolling stones.

General Comment:The beauty of a woman can only be likened to that of nature -- and it's an awe-inspiring nature. I like the delicate piano piece which reminds me of a music box with a dancing ballerina. There's an implict drug reference as well -- "she" being a metaphor for the psychedelic trip.

Song Meaning:This song is without doubt about sex on LSD. Jagger was slaying some more women as usual and decided to add some psychedelics. The result was the female, whoever she may be, "coming"(cumming) in colors. She COMES in colors everywhere, in the air, it went all over. Let's remember the womanizer side of Jagger here. Not to mention it makes the song make much more sense. Oh, and since this is a british band, shouldn't it be colours?

General Comment:I had read that Jagger was inspired by the song "She Comes In Colors" by Love (off the Da Capo album). I like that song a lot better than this one.

General Comment:I believe this song has several " Meanings " and as a result has something rather similar to what some would term the Truth, whether the Stones intended it or not.

Some have said it is about a Woman. This is obviously true. Some have said it is about the Earth, or rather Nature. It is about this also.

This is a song about BEAUTY.

    "SHE'S

    Like a RAINBOW

    SHE COMES in COLORS

Have you seen her all in gold? "

    Don't you see?

    It is Beautiful.

Whether it be a human female, or a "simple" result of Weather

    IT is BEAUTIFUL
    That is enough.

General Comment:It's a beautiful song. At first I was a bit annoyed with how it sounds like it's skipping, but them I grew to love it. It's like they made several versions of it and couldn't figure which one to release, so they put them all together.

General Comment:Arthur Lee (the group, Love) did a song, "She Comes In Colors," off the Da Capo album, that pre-dates the Stones by a good year or so. It's arguably better than "Rainbow."
