This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Tender is the night
Lying by your side
Tender is the touch
Of someone that you love too much
Tender is the day
The demons go away
Lord I need to find
Someone who can heal my mind
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on
Love's the greatest thing
That we have
I'm waiting for that feeling
I'm waiting for that feeling
Waiting for that feeling to come
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Oh my baby
Oh my baby
Oh why
Oh my
Tender is the ghost
The ghost I love the most
Hiding from the sun
Waiting for the night to come
Tender is my heart
I'm screwing up my life
Lord I need to find
Someone who can heal my mind
Come on, come on, come on
Get through it
Come on, come on, come on

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
Just A Little Lovin'

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
This is possibly my favourite song ever, and was written by Albarn (and Coxon) after Albarn's split with the Elastica singer Justine Frischmann, who he had been with for over eight years. The song explains Damon's longing for true love and a remedy to 'heal his mind' after the split. The song 'No Distance Left to Run' on the same album is about his break-up also. 13 is probably Blur's most personal album and their last decent effort. Tender is a message to himself and those others in his situation to find new love because love is the only way through.
Tender is as simple as possible but is easily the most beautiful song ever
I think its about a guy who feels very down and depressed with himself and is looking for love which he knows will heal his mind.
Oh my baby Oh my baby Oh why Oh my
I love that part! It's so simple, yet so beautiful. I can just see myself saying that to someone I know. They way Damon sings that part is just heartbreaking.
It's Graham Coxon singing that part. Agree it's the most beautiful part of the song though.
This song helps.
One of the greatist trak's by Blur, and one of the best love songs around.
This songs over 7 minutes long but it never drags or anything, Its amazing.
I think I might make this song my new anthem
I was in Labour with my daughter and this song played on the radio every couple of hours. To me it signals a goodbye to the old and a determination to love what is good for you. For me it is my daughter.
It felt very encouraging in the pushing sections too ????
he's in search of love, and what love means to him
I love this song...the tune...the lyrics...Blur are great. Janie xx.
