    General Comment:i disagree with the last part. i dont believe he tries to kill her in Demon of the fall, i think that he only wants to show himself to her. i know there is the line "take me away" in april ethereal and the I-person most definitely would want her to be dead along with him but I really think he doesnt try to kill her in demon of the fall, and i think he wouldnt even be able to as a ghost

    but the rest of your explanation is very good, and i think that the last line means that she is trying to find comfort in faith/religion/church or whatever. explaining the titel of the next song

    General Comment:This shows his sadness at how she can't see him and barely even senses his presence ... instead she stares right through him. The line "I am the idol that would long to caress our eyes until they would open no more" shows that he still believes she is obsessed with him as she was when he was alive and they were in love ... and he wishes he could kill her so they could be together in their "Abode 'mongst the stars" (which he attempts in Demon of the Fall).
