Every drop of rain that falls in Sahara Desert says it all,
It's a miracle,
All God's creations great and small, the Golden Gate and the Taj Mahal,
That's a miracle,
Test tube babies being born, mothers, fathers dead and gone,
It's a miracle,
We're having a miracle on earth, mother nature does it all for us,
The wonders of this world go on, the hanging Gardens of Babylon,
Captain Cook and Cain and Able, Jimi Hendrix to the Tower of Babel
It's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle,
The one thing we're all waiting for, is peace on earth - an end to war,
It's a miracle we need - the miracle, the miracle we're all waiting for today,
If every leaf on every tree, could tell a story that would be a miracle,
If every child on every street, had clothes to wear and food to eat,
That's a miracle,
If all God's people could be free, to live in perfect harmony,
It's a miracle, we're having a miracle on earth,
Mother nature does it all for us
Open hearts and surgery, Sunday mornings with a cup of tea,
Super powers always fighting,
But Mona Lisa just keeps on smiling,

The wonders of this world go on,
It's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle, it's a miracle,
The one thing we're all waiting for, is peace on earth and an end to war,
It's a miracle we need, the miracle, the miracle,
Peace on earth and end to war today,
That time will come one day you'll see when we can all be friends,

My Opinion:First off I really want to say that I love this song and it's really great in my opinion.I personally think that this song is about how there's a lot of great things and people who are in the world which are all miracles in different ways, for example how the things the words are stating are different places and people and I believe that the line "Mother nature does it all for us" means that all of those things are common miracles and they come "easily" (more easily then peace on earth and end to war).I think that the people and places miracles realte with the line about peace on earth and end to war because in order for the places to be built people had to work together to make the miracle happen and create the place, everybody in the world has to work together in order to end all the wars in the world and to finally bring world peace which are both miracles. Those things would be the biggest miracles because "The one thing we're all waiting for" is for those miracles to come true. The line "That time will come, one day you'll see when we can all be friends" is sung with a mixture of hope and sadness because they're trying to assure us that we have to keep trying to bring peace to the world and end the wars because if we keep at it "that time will come".Overall this song has a great message and I don't think you could get anything negative from it.

General Comment:I agree with Negafen but it's still a bit tricky song. I think the ending (that time will come..) is actually said with an almost sad tone, like he knows it's just an illusion and it will never come true. But compared to the other "miracles" the last wish (when we can all be friends) is said with a straight face and reflects at least partially the songwriters ideology (love your brethren etc). So while it is sarcastic in some ways, it's not a complete joke imo.

General Comment:Are you guys joking? Freddie was a Zoroastrian, the "miracle" he's referring to is a complete disappearance of religion and its trappings. The song is meant in a sarcastic tone.

That's why terms are mixed and some of his miracles seem like bad things (test tube babies with no parents, the tower of babel etc.)

Come on guys, look a little closer than to the upbeat tune before you conclude what it's about

General Comment:I think it's about people just hanging around waiting for 'the miracle' to happen which will make our world amazing instead of changing it with our own actions.
And we can make a difference.
The song points out all the wonderful things we have already achieved in the world; scientific revalations, human heroes, great buildings.
The line: 'If every leaf on every tree, could tell a story that would be a miracle' could be about saving trees, and obviously 'If every child on every street, had clothes to wear and food to eat' is about how we should not let poverty go on. So instead of 'waiting for... peace on earth and an end to war' we should make it ourselves. Because WE CAN!

General Comment:I think that this song is about how things big and small are all miracles. Take time to appreciate all of lifes aspects. It is a miracle that we are here at all. Of course all of this is spoken with the beauty of Queen's music.

General Comment:This is a beautiful song about appreciating everything that we have on this earth and not taking it for granted like many do. The song isn’t just mentioning the things we should appreciating, but saying that the world; Mother Nature, is a miracle. Every happening, every war, every life and every death is a miracle that should be appreciate.
