This song speaks a failure in transcendence. It carries a depth of melancholy, like most Smashing Pumpkin songs. The ending is rather unsettling. It's perfect, right now, because as I write this, I'm also frozen in place. Times like this call me towards The Smashing Pumpkins. It's not okay, while all-okay at the very same time. The poetry of this song is unbelievable & the music is in sync with this beauty. What this song is about is entirely up to you.

this is my favorite song by the pumpkins, and reading the lyrics makes corgan seem like a genius. when i heard this song the opening guitar riff blew me away and i yelled in the middle of political science because it was so good. i think the songs about marriage and rethinking it at the last minute to realize your love is gone. the pumpkins will always be one of my all time favorite bands.

The Smashing Pumpkins are without a doubt my favorite band. Billy Corgan is such a musical genius that it's mind-blowing. The greatest thing about all their songs is that you can never truly know what they're about - sometimes not even have the slightest guess to offer in that direction. But still, you can feel that it makes sense. Billy's songs convey pure emotions, and he does it so beautifully with words that blend and flow perfectly - you can never take them at face value, either. This is one of the most straight-forward Pumpkins songs, but it's still amazingly beautiful in its starkness.

I love this song, best song in the world from the best album in the world from the best band in the universe for that matter although some of you's might think thats too far. Its angry, passionate, confusing and dreamy and breath-taking. It encapsulates teenage angsty love perfectly. I think Pyrris' theory is applicable to Twilight to Starlight as Dawn to Dusk seems a bit more cynical and as Here is no why was written by Billy about a younger melodramatic himself. Its probably about virginity and death and of course love but I dont want to analyse it too much cos whenever I hear it I connect with it in an unexplicable way. I remember just being a week thirteen and hearing this cd which my brother had transferred on tape from years ago and although not it at first, luckily I didnt have another tape in the car so I made do and started loving it. It has such a brilliant intro, so delicate and entricate and I instantly that I loved this song. I can even remember the scenery when I heard the intro and listening to it again and again. I did notice the last line of stumbleine and emailed what was meant to be Billy Corgans email but got no reply, naturally. From the lines 'to the revelations' all the way to 'forever lost inside ourselves' it sounds frustrated, angry and a bit spiteful so beyondthestars theory is probably right but I think its putting himself and this person in comparison with the rest of the world as if he's so resentful to everything and yet he loves and adores her so much and how the two compound into complete and utter devotion to her. Its but with scars, hatred, love, desperation, realism, aspirations, wishes, awe and wishing for a true happy-ending though thats very confusing and sad but c'est la vie =}

I believe it could be about something he could never have. A love he could never know. Perhaps there was a time when there was a chance (wrap me up in always and drag me in with maybe's). In fact, to me, the whole beginning is hopeful, it's all dreamy as though he's lost in the feelings of love. Then in comes the guitar and soon after Corgan comes in with "I believe in never, I believe in all the way, but belief is not to notice, belief is just some faith, and faith can't help you to escape" It's as though he wakes up and realizes all his dreams and feelings of eternal love for this woman are in vain. For some reason, he feels they will never be together. The lines "if you spin your love around the secrets of your dreams you may find your love is gone and is not quite what it seemed to appear to disappear beneath all your darkest fears" and so on are just about how he loves her so much, he feels he could never love another. "Forever frozen forever beautiful forever lost inside ourselves" to me symbolize that exactly. He is forever frozen in place. He will never love another. "The night has come to hold us young" perhaps he is talking about dreaming of her and the hope in the "hold us young" part is perhaps because in his dreams he is free to love. But this is all just my interpretation.

SP are abosolutely one of my favorite bands! I love their music soo mu ch and this song is soo pretty and it love the way billy sings it. I also love the song Porcelina of the Vast Oceans. It's also so pretty.
