Lyrics for Try, Try, Try as interpreted by Ice

Try, Try, Try Lyrics
Pop tart
what's our mission
do we know
but never listen
for too long
they held me under
but I hear
it's almost over
in detroit
on our memphis train
like you said it's

down in the heat and the summer rain of
the automatic gauze of your memories
down in the sleep at the airplane races

try to hold on
to this heart
a little bit longer
try to hold on
to this heart aloud
try to hold on
for this heart's
a little bit colder
try to hold on
to this love

paperback scroll your hidden poems
written around the dried out flowers
here we are still trading places
to try to hold on

pop tart
can you envision
a free world
of clear devision
for too long
they held us under
but i know
we're getting over
in detroit
with the nashville tears
like you said it's

down in the heat with the broken numbers
down in the gaze of solemnity
down in the way you've held together

to try to hold on
to this heart
a little bit closer
try to hold on
to this love aloud
try to hold on
for this heart's
a little bit older
try to hold on
for this love aloud

and we are still alive
try to hold on
and we have survived
try to hold on
and no one should deny
we tried to hold on to the pulse of a feedback current
into the flow of encrypted movement
slapback kills the ancient remnants
that try to hold on

try to hold on
to this heart alive
try to hold on
to this love aloud
try to hold on
and we are still alive
try to hold on
and we have survived
try to hold on
pop tart
you never listen
skin knees
try to hold on
stop start
what's our mission
skin knees
try to hold on

its "pop tart" yeah. this is like one of my favorite songs by smashing pumpkins but the video really disturbed me and i had a panic attack. i didn't watch that video for a long time or listen to the song. week later i listened to the song and it was okay. but watching the video again wasnt okay. and recently i had a vision during listening to this song and had a panic attack everytime i listened to it. Now im fully over it and i can listen to the song and watch the video without having a panic attack

for some reason try try try remids me of 1979. maybe it's the beat? i don't know. but it has the same melancholy quality. definitely a highlight.

whoever said it starts 'Dark Child'? lol. That's just wrong.

It is 'Pop Tart'.

Try, Try, Try is a beautiful song though. the title says a lot.

The only thing I can say about this is:

Please, Lucy, if you ever read this, take me back. There has never been a better idea than the idea of me and you together, and I can't stand not being with you. "Yesterday my sky was you, and I still feel the same". I love you so much.

I fell in love with this song when I first heard it. It's been 4 years since I heard this song and I still love it. I didn't know there was an alt version though. I have to check it out now.

This song is probably the one song that stands out the most, for me, off of the machina album. esp. after seeing the video. the full version of that video is crazy. haunting imagery. kinda changed the song for me, making it sadder, but still love it

I like to listen to this song when i'm driving my car in a big city in a raining afternoon. can you understand this feeling i'm trying to explain? Either the traffic and the crazy speed of the city life canīt affect me. It just calm me down. I even want to keep driving indefinitely to long this feeling. There are a lot of songs from SP that makes me feel this way. Anyway, this song is one of my personal SP best of.

I'm almost 100% sure it's 'Automatic doors' not 'Automatic gauze'

Nevertheless, I love this song - It's another song by them which gets to how I feel at the moment.

The song symbolises the seperation of the band at that time as for the relationship between Corgan and Iha.
