In my eyes
I'm not lazy
In my face
It's not over
In your room
I'm not older
In your eyes
I'm not worth it
Gimme back my alcohol

Give me all your...

My Opinion:I read so many weird interpretations of this and it's pretty simple: His partner finds him young and immature and not worth keeping a relationship with. and he doesn't see himself as lazy or that the relationship is over. He does not express the same dissatisfaction as the older partner is exposing and, frustrated or embarrassed by the mentioned faults by the older girlfriend, he rushes for the alcohol. He is bargaining for her love, "give me all your (love)". He screams frustrated and says expletives (F word). For Kurt, his relationship to Tracy had one of the factors that could predict a breakup which is age difference and he seemed to feel incompetent to be reminded of it. That's what I feel here.

General Comment:This song is sung from the point of view of a teenager in his room brooding because his parents, who are in the next room, took his booze and (probably) grounded him.

My Interpretation:Scoff simply makes me think of someone who has fallen out of a relationship that started of good, but turned sour and dysfunctional in the end. The two were on completely different pages; Person A was in a bad situation they were working to get out of. Person B was greedy and wanted only the best for themselves, so when Person A did their best to explain that they still had confidence in themselves and could get out of what had become of their life, Person B did not sympathize, instead, they just scoffed at them.
I interpret "give me back my alcohol" a bit differently. You could imagine it as literally alcohol, but I imagine it more as whatever it was that made Person A feel contempt and pure in their life that Person B had taken away.
Hell, that could be alcohol. But I see it a bit loosely.

General Comment:I love Nirvana... but I really don't like this song. The "Gimme back my alchol!" really drives it into the ground for me :/

General Comment:When I first heard the song it just reminded me of an alcoholic, (especially the "gimme back my alcohol" part.) But also the parts in the verse. Like how drinking throws off your judgment. "In my eyes, I'm not lazy" and such.

General Comment:Isn't this just another 'complaint'song about Tracy Marander (like 'About a girl')?

General Comment:I think this song is about Kurt's health problems. He tried a bunch of different prescription drugs. The drugs healed some and killed others. I think the verse is about him self medicating himself, which he did because the prescriptions didn't work. and he just wanted to get back whatever substance gave him relief from the constant stomach pain.

General Comment:Thought it was about Tracy Marander. His girlfriend. Maybe they had an argument and these are his answers. According to my sources she was always on about him being lazy and not cleaning the house.

General Comment:i really don't think there is a meaning to this song, and i don't think there were meanings behind most of the songs on bleach.kurt even said himself that he didn't give a fuck about the lyrics for bleach, and wrote 80% of them the night before they began recording it.i do agree however, that bleach > nevermind
and also, bleach > in utero...oh hell! bleach > any nirvana album!
