i know what this song means. it means that even though what they had (love) is over now, he still wants to remain friends because she is and will always be very special to him and he doesn't want her completely out of his life

I love this song. Again awesome lyrics. What I've learned is that when you end a relationship you only think about the good times you had w/ that person. And sometimes just when you think your getting over that person, just like the song says, "the saddness of losing that person comes when it's least expected". Memories are hard to deal with. They can be very emotionally painful. I know I carry very fond memories of someone I cared for, and everytime they surface, it still hurts me that we're no longer together. Even though are relationship was in turmoil, I still cannot get the great memories of our past out of my head. I love RUFIO

I can completely relate to this song. It's about a guy who's losing this girl (be it his best friend or girlfriend), and he doesn't wanna be a memory to her, he wants to live on in her life like she will to him. Such an awesome song.

the second line of the chorus should be:
"You came and ripped out my heart"
I think that gives so much more emotion, like what's really in the song, than what has been posted.

This song is so gr8! It is so well written. I think that every1 should listen to Rufio because they gr8 example of gr8 EMO! "You came and ripped out my heart" is such a gr8 line in this song and it's so well sang. I love this song so much it reminds me of when I broke up with my first true love and how I didn't just want to be a memory to him! This song is such a gr8 song to listen to after you just gotten over a breack up or after u just brock up with some1! I lve RuFiO!

This song perfectly shows how i felt about this girl that i liked a lot. She liked some other guy and it hurt a lot and i tried hard to win her over but it just didn't happen. Now i hope that we could be friends because it seems that she is kind of "drifting" from me. but i don't want to be "just a memory" to her...

Courtney I have a really similar reality, this song sums up exactly how I'm feeling about my ex. Sometimes i still get the butterflies but I wish he would just listen to this song and realise how I'm feeling so that we stay friends (though I dont think I could be friends with him now) :(
