    General Comment:I love this song so much. it basically describes how he said something to his girlfriend that really offended her and he just wishes he could take it back, but she's mad at him. He wishes she could feel the same way about him that she once did. He says, "the way she feels about me has changed, thanks for playing, try again." Also, he doesn't see how his one little mishap has caused her to desert him. After all, "he just wants to be liked, he just wants to be funny." I think we can all say that we've been in John's postion before and have said things we didn't mean or that weren't meant to come out. It's kind of like, you wish you had a rewind button to take back all the mistakes you've made that have caused you to change the way people feel about you. This happened to me, and boy, it hurts. My stupid, stupid mouth. Lovely song, john :)

    General Comment:The meaning is so basic. The underlying meaning is obviously about making an awkward comment, but the best part of this song is how he describes the one specific event. All the unimportant details he adds to the song. The situation he describes is just so awkward and fantastic and normal. But then he thinks the same think everyone else does when they say the wrong think. "Why is it my fault?" Why should the entire awkward moment be blamed on him? I think these are one of the funniest lyrics ever, it literally describes probably the most boring event ever, in detail.

    General Comment:Like everyone else has said, I can totally relate to this song. Just saying something and the second after I said it, thinking "Ah, crap. Why did I say that?" and wishing so hard you could just take it back!

    I love the "one more thing" line. That's also something I relate to. Saying, "OK, OK, I'm done, really" and a few seconds later "But can I just say one more thing?" Haha.

    Great song. Catches the feeling and awkwardness perfectly.

    General Comment:This song is like speaking on behalf of myself. This is just one of those songs that really touches you.

    My stupid mouth (or in some cases my stupid finger with respect to typing in internet messaging) has on some occassions done me extremely harm.
