  General Comment:This is a metaphor for a destructive relationship...There are actually more lyrics that were cut from the song that were auctioned off....He's pissed at the woman/media and lashing out saying the relationship is like Morphine (mind numbing) At this time MJ was going through a lot of shit and it comes out in his songs.
  
  When the piano kicks in you can hear his mockery at the media over reacting to everything he does and turning it to something it's not(lies) but you can also hear his hidden pain and it never fails to make me cry for the utter tragedy of his death.

  Lyric Correction:In one of the MJ memorabilia auctions, there were handwritten lyrics to "Morphine" by Michael Jackson, up for sale. TMZ posted pics of the pages of lyrics, and here are some of them transcribed:

  Obviously, some of this was changed in the final version of the song, but some lines remain . . . that's why I think the "I need you body!" line that you guys have for the fourth line is wrong. It should be, "I hate your bible!" I can definitely hear it.

    Actually he does. He says the 'F' word in Scream :) and in This Time Around he says "But this time around I'm taking no S..."
    He also said in "They Don't Really Care About Us" - "Kike me"
    
    Anyway back to the song, I hadn't heard this before the death of MJ but now I have, it makes me really sad :( Poor Michael. I hope he's done "an Elvis" and gone into hiding ;) lol

  General Comment:wow, I didn't realize how personal this song really gets. the only part I ever heard was the "Demerol, Demerol" bit when CNN played it on Larry King Live, and I thought it was a fake.
