Dear GOD this song is so fucking sublime it's insane. It's absolutely beautiful, and I wish I wrote it. Incidentally it's great to put on a mix you're making for someone you're trying to hook up with if you're going the route of "the mix tape/cd as a declaration of affection" which I highly recommend as a Music Geek.

This is the song of the most ultimate form of friendship. You can also use love in this. I mean, they're saying they'll be there through thick and thin, even if the person they're talking to wants to rip thier guts out, they'll stay there and be by them forever.

Well at first it was just another song...but today perhaps just a depressing day, the kind when it just seems nothing can go right, and nothing won't go wrong i came home...just hoping to calm down relax and have some special k cereal...yes dweeby, but hey! i opened the fridge only to find we had no milk, and i just started crying nonstop uncontrolably! well nonetheless it was my sister mary who came to the rescue, just listening to me and apologizing for not being able to say anything that would make me feel better. Later when i came up to the computer she had i'll stand by you highlighted and ready to play on the computer and left a note that said,"ya know how i said i didn't know what to say? well, this is exactly iy. Press play and turn it up!" my sister is going to college next semester and i will always remember this song and think of her! this song was the 1st thing all day that was capable of making me smile!

This song is obviously about a mother's love for her daughter. Hense words like, "nothing you confess could make me love you less" and "hey, why you got to hide?
I get angry too when I'm in love like you" and "I'll stand by you...won't let nobody hurt you." If it's about romantic love, then, to me, it's about a guy who's completely helpless emotionally, so his wife/girlfriend has to be his backbone. And if that's the case, then that's just sad.

This was my prom song, and I had no idea then how ironic this song would become to me. This song defines faithfullness and friendship through thick and thin. Needless to say, I find it ironic that the song that defines one of the greatest nights of my life would be one that speaks of loyalty and yet the person I shared that wonderful night with, didn't end up standing by me for the long haul.

this song is emotional for me because it's the song that i put all over the frame that i gave my sister with a picture of us in when she went away for college-- which might not seem like a big deal but she's only a couple years older than me and we were so attached and i love her so much and now she's just not here sometimes when i need her but i always know she'll be there for me.

This song reminds me of the way i feel about two of my best friends. One of them is deeply depressed, and the other is on the verge...i know what it's like to feel this way..and i just want to let them know, that i will stand by them, and they can come to me.

This song is such an amazingly beautiful song- it's so si,plistic as well which makes it all that much more enchanting. This song reminds me of me and my sister. The two of us have an amazing relationship-we're best friends. Everytime i hear this song i think of her , and everytime she hears it she thinks of me. To me this song represents an eternal bond. It can be between two lovers, friends, or family members.

I'll just point out that in the video Chrissie is seen taking care of a male person that's tired, possibly wounded. However, I can't recall the two kissing. It's an open case.

Awesome song, a true friend helping out another when they are hitting rock bottom. Never betraying their friendship and no matter what happens, they will always be there. Sticking up for them and letting them know it's ok to break down and tell them everything, knowing it will be confidential.

This reminds me of Jame's Taylor's "You've Got A Friend".

I think it is face value with the video which you can watch with the link below it is about a mother and her child or about a couple either way they have both hit rock bottom after going out into the world and not necessarily making the wrong decisions just coming out on the short end of the stick but at the end of the day they always have each other no matter how bad it gets and she just wants the other person to know and not give up. Hoping he or she is hear what she is saying.
