The line 'i catch a paper boy but things dont really change' perhaps presents the lack of excitement within life, maybe implying how life has a sense of meaningless after loss of love. 'Theres no sign of life, theres just a power to charm' perhaps indicates tje lack of genuineness and affection within life, and merely it has just become a series of ingenuine communicating with others, the 'power to charm' rather than forming actual emotional connections.
