Although Blondie is one of my favorite bands, I think this is probably the second greatest stalker song. Number one being Every Breath You Take by the Police. This song is definitely more straight forward about it though.

It was written about Debbie Harry's ex-boyfriend who wouldn't leave her alone.

A fantastic song. I'd like to have Debbie Harry stalk me. That'd be good times.

This song rocks. I love that it has a deceptively cheerful rhythm, but the lyrics are rather dark and stalkeresque once you listen to them. The first time I heard it, I thought, "Oh, it's a cute, peppy little song about a girl trying to seduce someone she's interested in, then playing the tease." Even after realizing what it was really about, I still like it.

I love how she randomly speaks from the stalkers point of view, to the stalkees point of view.. fave lines "lead you to the supermarket checkout, some specials on rat food, fet lost in the crowd" loves the blondie.

you know this would make a good song in a scary movie- like if there were two people in a house, one the bad guy one the good guy and say they were walking around in a dark scary house and the bad guy was looking for the good guy and then all of a sudden the radio came on and this song came on..... okay i know that was all kind of pointless but i just had to put out my point of view..

I used to thought it was simply about a crush, until I finally payed attention to the lyrics.

It's definately about a stalker. It's creepy. Yet, it's still cool. I like it.
