  My Interpretation:I think that the meaning is quite simple; it's just a love song about dreaming to be with the one you want for the rest of your life. What I find fascinating about this song is how sweet Liam's vocals are. While most of the times he sounds arrongant and cold, in Slide Away he is charming.

    this song is about him having a relationship with someone who is spoken for .."hold me down when all the worlds asleep " when she can sneak out to him..... "i wonder where you re now " he cant ring to find out

  General Comment:i think the whole album is like a coke experience, 'rock n roll star' being when he first takes it, 'supersonic' being the absolute peak when he feels on top of the world, the rest of the album being the gradual comedown, until 'married with kids' which is pretty self explanatory.

  General Comment:im sure! now im not 100% sure if this is the one? but someone told me this is the song that he wrote for his mum when she was ill??? im sure its this, if not then its fade away (and not the dreams we have as children its the other one) i might be wrong???

  General Comment:This is one of the best songs ever written. The acoustic version with Noel singing is a billion times better than Liam singing.
  I think this song is about loving someone so much. When it's sung (at least by Noel), it's like it doesn't matter what the exact words are, you can just feel the love and the want, you know? I don't know...that's just how I feel about it.
  It's so beautiful.
