  General Comment:This song is one of THE songs for me in high school. It's kind of the balance between being a kid and a women.. it was a hard transition to wanting to feel independant but couldn't have the freedom, I imagine growing up in the spotlight it was a lot harder to resist adult temptations

  General Comment:I love this song so much. Even though it's old, I still listen to it all the time. I think a lot of girls can really relate to it. It's about being unsure of what you want to do, which most teenagers are.

  General Comment:O.M.G how stupid can u guys get. There is a meaning behind the song, just like all songs. Actually Dido wrote the song.
  
  The line "Am not a girl, not yet a women" is all about the stage in her life. The Media saw her (at the time of release) still as the Teen pop princess and expected her to act like a goody-to-shoes. But she wanted to grow up, do more adult led things, but the Media still saw her as a little girl, and when she went to do adult things (like getting drunk) there would be an up roar in the press.
  
  I love this song and can relate to it. Am 21 (15 when this was released) but my gran still thinks am a little girl, and tries to shelled me from certian things that are really bad in the media. I know a lot more stuff than she knows i know.
  
  So stop dissing the song please.

    I think your judging her way to harshly. Everyone makes mistakes and what's important is that she has learned from them and is now doing a lot better. Her music does not suck either so your a slutty whore.

  General Comment:Guys, stop bashing her. She's been in the public's eye since she was probably ten or tweleve. She's never had a chance to live in the real world or just be a real person. She had so much fame that it killed her as a person. I feel really bad for her, actually. I think a lot of people just want to see her get back on her feet and prove she's still great. Okay so what if she didn't write her songs? She sang them, and she did, at one point, sing well. People are so evil on this website. Don't call me stupid or anything because I do know what real music is and I do appreciate it, but you guys are just so cruel!

  General Comment:I think a better song about growing up is Bob Dylan's "Just like a Woman". It's not even really about growing up, and Dylan isn't even a girl, but he somehow describes perfectly my own struggles with growing older, making dumb choices, feeling all grown up, and then breaking just like a little girl.
