Did anyone else notice that Brad calls his daughter Mexi then talks about how when he kisses her he gets horny? If that is infact what Brad meant... that's weird. I still love Sublime though.

I think Mixie (his baby daughter) was named after his girlfriend, so when he says "when I kiss Mixie it makes me feel horny" hes not refering to his daughter (thats sick) but his girlfriend or w/e his daughter was named after.

P.S if you want accurate lyrics to this song, google search "Sublime Spot" and go to the website, it has the proper spanish and theenglish translation. BTW - One of the best songs ever.

Even so, hes not referring to his own daughter in the song, like everyone else said, hes referring to their daughter. Cus he said I got what you need, a pretty little daughter that we call Mixie...hes saying that hes with their daughter

A word to all of the perfectionist out there calling ppl out for plagerism and making sure the translation is entirely perfect... you miss not only the meaning of this song, but the heart of what sublime was... It means whatever you want it to mean, the lyrics are whatever you want them to be, and go ahead and steal words from whoever you want to and call them your own... Brad always did. I am certiant that we could systematically go through any given sublime record (especially the live bootlegs) and you would figure out that probably 90% or more of the lyrics were swiped from someone else (bob marley, bad religion, ramones, the decendents, who knows who else?). I also assumed that Brad was so drunk/stoned/strung out all the time that He was probably not aware that he didnt write his songs... and I am perfectly ok with this... the point is it was original in his way of verbal mixing and sampling... and he brought same really good songs to people that would have never heard and appreciated them if it were not for Brad... you could say, in the words of Raleigh Sakers, that Brad copied your homework and he's selling it back to you for $50,000 a page... you all over analize things way too much and probably just need to burn one down and get laid...

This song is great, its jus about how bradley loves spainish/mexican girls( like we all does, amirite?). it goes on about how the family hates him cos hes american and hes all like "fuck u, ill fuck u up esse". its jus a great love song by a great ska band.
