Down there at the pawn shop it's only way to shop
Down there at the pawn shop if it's not in stone
Down there at the pawn shop at no end, no way to shop

Down there at the pawn shop what has been told
Albino made of stone just remember that it's flesh and bone

So, why I'm down here at the pawn shop
Down here at the pawn shop, down here at the pawn shop, down here at the pawn shop
What has been sold, not strictly made of stone
Just remember that it's flesh and bone

And I have heard, like dike-a-bird yeah
But just remember that it's flesh and bone
So why I'm down here at the pawn shop..down here at the pawn shop

Go! Right! Huh that's right

Down here at the pawn shop it's a nifty way to shop
Down here at the pawn shop it's another sold
Down here at the pawn shop what has been sold
Not strictly made of stone just remember that it's flesh and bone

What has been sold not strictly sold please remember that it's flesh and bone
Down here at the pawn shop..down here at the pawn shop

Down here at the pawn shop..down here at the pawn shop-yop-yop
Hu ooh go! see

General Comment:This song is a cover of The Wailing Soul's song - War Deh Round a John Shop, but I don't doubt that Bradley's new lyrics are influenced by his drug problems.

General Comment:this song really strikes a chord if you have a family member or friend that has a serious addiction to a drug like heroin.. The person you love and have known your whole life becomes a slave to the drug and they become a person you don't feel like you know anymore. Poor bradley was such a good guy but the drug took over him and he would steal guitars amps from his own band to get money so he could go score some heroin..truly sad thing R.I.P. bradley..

General Comment:Brad said in an interview that he would go to the pawn shop once a week finding anything to sell to get enough money to feed his addiction, he even said the label started to get pissed at him bcuz he kept selling his guitars and brad would tell them he "lost" them hahahaha RIP Brad

General Comment:Knowing what Brad was like, I can almost guarantee you that this song is about going to the pawn shop and selling shit for dirt cheap so you can get a fix. I was a semi-junkie for a short chapter of my life and trust me I spent a lot of time at the local pawn shops selling the most random shit you could imagine

General Comment:It really is about heroin.. You sell shit that you could have forever to get fixed.. You sell everything that they'll take... Some people even steal and sell what they can get. Heroin addiction starts out wonderful and ends up taking you... If you're too naive to think that this has to do with drugs then you should really open your mind. TONS of great artists were addicts.. And a lot of great art is inspired by the good and the bad that drugs can bring.

General Comment:Bradley knowell the lead guitarist/vocalist used to sell his guitar at pawns shops for drug money and before shows his bandmates would have to go buy it back so they could play so i think thats where this song came from

General Comment:the original is called 'War Deh Round A John Shop' by the Wailing Souls. 'Pawn Shop' is a loose cover of the song; same melody, different lyrics. The song was written because Of Bradley's heroin addiction. He would sell his guitars at the local pawn shop for money to buy heroin, and Miguel would have to repeatedly go and buy them back.

General Comment:eabaker is right.. This song is about how he would sell the band instruments to pay for his heroine addiction. Which eventually killed him. It didn't realize until recently, that many of the sublime songs are about Brad's heroine use and how much he hated it. That is one drug that i will definitely not take, because of what I learned about it from sublime.
