Yes indeed I'm alone again
And here comes emptiness crashing in
It's either love or hate
I can't find in between
Cause I've been with witches
And I have been with a queen

It wouldn't have worked out any way
So now it's just another lonely day
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day

Wish there was something
I could say or do
I can resist anything
But temptation from you
But I'd rather walk alone
Than chase you around
I'd rather fall myself
Than let you drag me down

It wouldn't have worked out any way
And now it's just another lonely day
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day

Yesterday seems like a life ago
Cause the one I love
Today I hardly know
You I held so close in my heart oh dear
Grow further from me
With every fallen tear

It wouldn't have worked out any way
So now it's just another lonely day
Further along we just may
But for now it's just another lonely day

General Comment:Ben has such an ability to create the right tone to match the meaning he is trying to put-forth in all his songs. Slow guitar strums, and a song of departure. One of the best out there, for sure.

General Comment:This is such another eye-clouding song, you know what I mean.
It feels so nostalgic, I'm pretty sure that each one of us here experienced or maybe experiencing what the song tells.

General Comment:This song will always remind me of my aweosome cousin with guitar in hand on christmas day a few years ago. He looks like Ben Harper too. He blew me away that day- always remember him for it. Music has such a powerful affect

General Comment:This song is about the different sides of emotions you go through after/during a breakup. "Its either love or hate i cant find in between." And the talk of witches and queens (Shes the greatest person in the world, then the worst.) So to help him get through it he just says it wouldnt work out anyway as if to get rid of any hope and to try and move on. And he just wastes away in another lonely day trying to get a little better with each passing day.

General Comment:It just wasn't the right time. Someday, it might be ("further along we just may), but for now, he's content with the lonely days.

There were too many fights ("either love or hate") and no middle ground.

So much time has passed that they've now become strangers. The person he held so close and dear is no longer in his life. But he still misses her dearly.

General Comment:I love this song because it is almost like he stole the words out of my mouth about a relationship i had last summer. i was real bummed out but it's nice to see that a really cool guy like ben can relate to me.
