Hate is what I feel for you
And I want you to know that I want you dead
You're late for the execution
If you're not here soon, I'll kill your friend instead

All the pain I feel
Couldn't start to heal
Although I would like it to

I hate you and your apathy
You can leave, you can leave, I don't want you here
I'm playing this pantomime
But I don't see you showing any signs of fear

All the pain I feel
Couldn't start to heal
Although I would like it to

This time I'm for real
My pain can not heal
You will be dead when I'm through

Hate is what I feel for you
And I want you to know that I want you dead
You're late for the execution
If you're not here soon, I'll kill your friend instead

All the pain I feel
Couldn't start to heal
Although I would like it to

This time I'm for real
My pain can not heal
You will be dead when I'm through, through, through

Pain and execution
Put your hands in the air
Put your hands in the air
The air, yeah

I am, I am Israel's son
Israel's son I am
Put your hands in the air
Put your hands in the air

I am, I am Israel's son
Israel's son I am
Put your hands in the air
Put your hands in the air

    My Opinion

Israel's Son-One long Aussie Cry of Rage! A Nineties update of AC/DC's Shoot to Thrill-but it no way do they encourage murder or killing anyone! No sir, Fair Dinkum Mate! Please don't take music literally! -it's just music! Rather, Frontman/writer/guitarist Daniel Johns wrote Israel's Son about the hypocrisy of organized religion and about how the existence of God is nothing but a complete joke! This definitely accounts for the ongoing torture, slaughter and fighting going on in the Middle East ever since time memorial and immemorial itself-it's just all a case of "I don't like you!/No! I don't like you!/We have a lot of hatred and animosity toward each other!"-and why sometimes it's virtually impossible to get along in this world! No matter if it's Australia, England, the USA or the Middle East, there is no peace on Earth!-it's totally unrealistic! Right at the end of the loud Metal Rocker Israel's Son, the metal guitars rage and the narrator screams "I am I am Israel's Son I am!/Put your hands in the air!/Put your hands in the air!"-and goes completely berserk and insane! Rock & Roll Pantomime Rage at its absolute best! One of my all time favorite Aussie Rockers ever! Silverchair will never be forgotten! This song rocks like an angry kangaroo who is mad as hell and will not take it anymore!
