Our lives run different ways
Through the rain I see you in the sun
Our star shines anyway
If you wish upon it we are one

Dog eat dog
Every day
On our fellow man we prey
Dog eat dog
To get by
Hope you like my genocide

I find it such a shame
Through the pain I see things as they are
We're served up on a plate
The pedestal is high enough to fall
And if in time
We can see the errors of our ways
Would anyone change it anyhow
Our time is up
Dog eat dog

Every day (2x)
On our fellow man we prey
Dog eat dog
To get by
Hope you like my genocide

I bet you'd only run
If you saw what goes inside our own
I bet you'd lead the way
If it were up to you to decide
But it's not

Song Meaning:IDK it feels more like you have to act this way, dog eat dog, in order to survive.

Lyric Correction:There are lyrics at the end of the song that are omitted in the current version posted here.

    The lyrics are:
    Like a sliver flame
    Like suicide
    Like you're giving more

General Comment:Ha ha. i have to laugh. For years i always thought Dexter said 'Donkey Kong' instead of 'Dog eat Dog'. Seriously listen to the chorus and it sounds like he is either saying, Donkey Kong, Doggy Dog or Dog Eat dog. It all depends on what you are singing in your head

General Comment:Don't say anything from now on guys, you might offend anonymous09. He might not think its appropriate. The earth revolves around his beliefs.

General Comment:First time I heard this I thought he was saying "Donkey Kong every day". Anyway if you find this offensive anonymous09, I'm sure you'll love Belsen was a Gas by Sex Pistols

General Comment:awesome song, #3 on smash (after smash and nitro)

anonymous09: it's not all easy going and filler, it's an anti-genocide song. and saying people shouldnt sing about something is as bad as denying it ever happened.

General Comment:About the nature of man- his need for domination and the suppresion of competitors. The best lines are definitely:

    And if in time
We can see the errors of our ways
    Would anyone change it anyhow

Even though we acknowledge how wrong our past actions were (like past acts of genocide), people still commit them. It's something we all fight and supress, but it's still so ingrained into our nature that fierce dog-eat-dog competition is unavoidable.
