Ha, well here we go again, get up
A little somethin' for your earhole, get up
Baring a part of my soul again, get up
Disturbed in the house, were droppin' plates

You said it couldn't be done
Told me that it's the kind of battle
That just couldn't be won, you know
You're too sick, too hard, too fucked in the head
You'll never make it, no, not in this lifetime
Well guess again my friend
Don't act surprised
We got the bass drum kick
That will blow out your eyes HA,
Cause when you hear this shit
You'll get to steppin'
Gonna fight the war
And use my music as a weapon

You know I'm talkin' bout recognition
You know I'm talkin' bout vindication

Another goddamn slap in the face
Don't wanna give us a place
Are you afraid?

Well fear this,
Cause I'm breakin' through the walls of your nightmare
Wake up time to die
The way your livin' there is no compromising it
Better get ready for
Another surprise in it may leave a mark
Beacause I'm coming fast
Plantin' thoughts in your mind
And droppin' plates on your ass

Well here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass bitch
You never mind and you don't need this
Said here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass bitch
You never mind and you don't need

[Repeat x2]
Well on your mark, here we go again, hey ya, ya
Well never mind cause you're not a number one, oh ya, ya
You're too hard and from the other side, hey ya, ya
I think it's time to bring it home again
Right to me

You know I'm talkin' bout recognition
You know I'm talkin' bout vindication

Here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass
Well here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass
Said here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass
Now here I come
I'm droppin' plates on your ass
Plates on your ass bitch
Plates on your ass
Well here I come I'm droppin' plates,
I'm droppin' plates
Plates on your ass bitch
Plates on your ass
Here I come
I'm droppin' plates
And I'm droppin plates in me
Well on your mark
Now here we go again
I'm droppin' plates
I use my music, my weapon
I'm droppin' plates
Break through the walls of your nightmare
I'm droppin' plates
Well here we go
We're droppin' plates

General Comment:This song is Bad fuckn ass man I've Loved Disturbed since I was a wee little girl and this has held its place as one of my favourites, to me it means that they were sick of this pop shit like bieber (:P) and all these pop artists are all like "yeah, Metals going down the drain" and this is sorta saying that Hell will freeze over before that happens

Song Meaning:According to David, the song "Speaks about Disturbed's uphill battle to be a metal band in a city, and a world that does not necessarily want one."

General Comment:This is just my opinion but I think this song is a right-in-your-face kind of song. I also think it's about war too.

General Comment:I never bothered commenting, cuz i assumed that out of all these comments, that somebody wud know what he meant. irobnichols was the only one to pick up on it. a "plate" is a term in the music industry for a gold or platinum record. and a few of the guys on the first page got it partly rite. the song is aimed at the recording companies that turned turned them down, and said that they wud never ammount to anything. and now the're droppin plates on their ass.

General Comment:I believe it relates to him being Jewish and the tradition in Judaism of breaking plates at weddings (Kabbalat Panim). I see him lashing out at his wife or ex-wife about all the bullshit she put him through, and how he stood up to his religious upbringing, or hers for that matter, and is now giving her a big F U - and droppin' plates on her ass, bitch.

General Comment:DISTURBED KICK ASS, BALLS AND FACE!!!

All my mates think i'm goth coz i listen to disturbed but im not. it pisses me off when they think its all about death and crap when its not and there just dicks listening to pop and rap and sh*t.

i think the songs got sumthin to do with rubbing there success in the faces of pop and rap and how they made so many great songs that so many people liked even when no one thought they could. Just my opinion.

General Comment:Its not necessarily about pop music. "Plates" refers to records like a gold record you would have on the wall. So "droppin plates" refers to making hit singles. What they are emphasizing is the fact that they keep making mainstream hits in an industry that didn't want to accept a band with such a maniacal/insane reputation. So in a sense using their music/popularity to fight their "haters". Even at the end of the song they refer to those who said that such a band would never be big in the lyrics "Well never mind cause you're not number one". Meaning you don't matter anyway...cause you're not at the top with us.
