THis is an amazing song about a guy who's life has completely fallen apart because his love has left him. All he can do is sit and wait and PRAY for her to come back into his life. It's almos as if he expected her to leave, although he does resent her for it. I can REALLY relate to this song.

Every time I hear this song I think about the movie by the same name.. it wasn't the greatest movie out there but this song is great!! It's about loving someone, but no matter what your relationship can no longer be or you can not stay together. Heartbreaking :-(

you know there are two ways to look at the song. As though you are the one singing the song, or you are the subject. From the subject's point of view. it is about being very much loved by someone, someone who almost expected you to leave their love life, and you do. I do not believe that necessarily these two individuals were together, they could have just been two people that we kinda testing the waters, and the one person backed out. But the singer However, even though the odds are slim that they will be together, is going to wait around. It is as though this person will wait till the end of the world. SAD SAD SAD.

This song is best on the SERIOUSLY LIVE! album, or even better, on the video with the same name. Such a heartfelt performance. This is an amazing song.

There is only one thing that I learns from this song: NEVER EVER GIVE UP you hope! Does not matter if that is your bro/sis/gf/bf/anyone special you 'missing', never ever lost your power in WISH. And of course, BE SMART, there must be something better than /But to wait for you, is all I can do/. ;). I brave enough to say this 'cause this happens to me, YEAH, and I am on the track to get her BACK now. Just last steps now... ;)

It hurts my insides. Guys can hurt too right? I wish that my love could stay but she was an exchange student and no matter what happens the outcome is still always the same isn't it. She leaves. I will tell her till the day I die I love her. I LOVE YOU CHRISTINA!!!!!!! Good luck.

This too, was my break up song. It really spoke volumes to me beause my g/f at the time broke up with me, and I was helpless to do anything about it. I cried (and drank) many nights just listening to that song and hoping. It's now been 6 years since she left, and although the wound is now healed, I still have the scars. Everytime I hear that song, I go back to the saddest time of my life.

this song reminds me of this girl i was friends with in kindergarten. I sometimes wonder what would have happened with us if i hadnt moved away and if we could have become bf/gf. Someday i wanna meet her again even though its been 9 years since i moved

Such a sad song.. It can be related in so many ways. I'll always relate it to my brother who died about two years ago. It makes me think of him, especially on New year and Christmas. He was the only person who understood me completely. I miss him so much, there's a emty space in my soul.

Phil's best song in my opinion, even though Another Day In Paradise is considered his best. I love pretty much all of Phil's music, but he gives it his all on this one.

This song is about a girl leaving a guy and he can't believe it's happening. He wants to stop her and wonders how he can just let her go but he can't. She leaves and all he can do is just hope she'll come back but he knows she won't because it's against all odds (obviously). He's hollow now because she left but towards the end of the song he's saying he'll still be there standing strong waiting if she does want to but take a look at him because he's not the same man anymore.
