It starts with one thing
I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
Wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter

One thing, I don't know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try, keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme, to explain in due time
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so (far)
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me (in the end)
You kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when I

Chorus

I’ve put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
And for all this
There's only one thing you should know

I’ve put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
And for all this
There's only one thing you should know

(2x) Chorus

General Comment:"they arel like the bsb...except for writing 1 guitar part per song and doing there own lyrics (which arent really that great anyways)...go to the other version of this song on here for the rest of my case"

Wow! You did an excellent job dissing LP there! You win a cookie for your amazing grammar skills.

Yes, the lyrics are wrong for this one. The Untitled demo of In The End is alot better than this one, in my honest opinion. For one, it just seems like Mike was forced to rewrite it and make it simpler while this one has the feeling that Mike gave it his all. Another reason is because I've grown tired of listening to 'In The End' and love hearing the original demos of songs so much that I've grown attached to this one.

General Comment:I agree with Drekel, this site isn't for your opinions on the band, it's songmeanings.net! Or maybe you dumbasses were too thick to figure that out.

General Comment:Well that's the lyrics to the actual song.
This song is so sad. It's partially about Taproot's manager Mark Wakefield leaving the band (he sang for them before Chester joined) and it's about their friend Esaul(my namesake) getting hit by a car.

    General Comment:Yeah.
Love the song, but it's titled wrong.
These lyrics are for "In the End". "Untitled" is a completely different song.

General Comment:No, we just don't care about your opinion on Linkin Park. If we believe that LP isn't popish, then we'll believe that no matter what you say. Just because it's your opinion, it doesn't mean that the world is going to change it's opinion so they can take up your's. I love Linkin Park and even if they do have pop elements, I'll always love their music. I think it's great that they combined so many different styles of music without discrimination.
"..remember, if you dont do that, the terrorists win."
Really! The terriost have taken up the appearences of the memebers of a Linkin Park so they can infest the minds of the youth of America and ultimatly to convert mindless followers to their unholy cause. Next time I see Mike Shinoda I'll be sure to disable his energy mask so I can reveal his true identity as Osama Bin Ladin.

General Comment:is that supposed to make me sad or something? am I supposed to cry now? *sighs* it's obvious that you're all just freaked out cause you know that I'm right but you have to deny it so you dont come off as little posers who like a band like n'sync or bsb. just listen to the song for gods sakes...forget about how they look, forget about the guitar in the chorus, forget about the lame ass video for it, and just actually listen to it and stop blindly defending a band that only has 1 halfway decent song...remember, if you dont do that, the terrorists win.
