Starlight--I have a translation that I copied from somewhere... I don't want to risk copyright infringement, though, so you could just do what I did and do a google search for "X-Japan lyrics translation Forever Love" or whatever song you want. ^_^

Anyway... I'm not much of a J-rock/pop fan, but this is *such* a good, sad, beautiful song. It was on the soundtrack for the X anime movie (which is so different from the series!), and putting characters to the song gives it a whole new dimension.

(Not that I've seen the movie... sounds too gory for my taste.) Uh, yeah, no more ranting.

*sniffles* <3 hide. best guitarist ever, imho.

this song makes me cry every time i hear it. for awhile i thought the "final mix" version was even more depressing, but now i think the original version is 'cuz of hide's guitar solo.. *sniffle* rip hide!

oh and i agree w/Dave - toshi did fuck it all up, but hide & Yoshiki were supposed to form a new X Japan in 2000. ;__; i think hide was gonna be the lead singer.

The X movie wasn't very good. This was one of the bright spots of that movie. It completely fitted the ending and gave a scene a big emotional impact.

I love this song. One of the things I love about it is that it isn't just about loving a gf or wife, but the lyrics can be used for anyone you love.

I loved this song for a long, long time... then I saw the X movie and loved it even more (though it doesn't really make sense to have a love song play when a guy has just decapitated his best friend). Heh.

I've heard the acoustic version of this song and the tears are still falling down my cheeks, when thinking about the song...lyrics...all the emotion pack uped in this. Could there be anything more beautiful? The first time I heard this I was reading hides memorial and I just couldn't help but cry. ;__; I felt like I had known him that he would've some really important person to me. And he is. Love you hide. Sleep peacefully, beauty. <3

Please don't be so hard on Toshi. I love him, no matter what. I think that his voice is better than anyone's, male or female. o.o;; but anyway, he may have left X, but it's not his fault the hide died. They were gonna make a new X, anyway. but things don't always work out.. and nothing lasts forever.

The song. Yes, amazing. A masterpiece. The lyrics are absolutely astonishing, and full of emotion, as YOSHIKI's always are. The instrumentals are BEAUTIFUL. Especially the piano. YOSHIKI is my god.. and hide. And just listen to Toshi's voice!! So full of emotion, so passionate!! I love this song. Whenever I listen to it, I cry. I think of hide, mostly.. but also, it makes me so sad that I never got to see X perform live. That's rather selfish, though.. isn't it?? Still.

I absolutely love this song. Definately one of X-Japan's best. It makes me cry alot, but now everytime I hear it, I think of Hide-Sama, because they played this at his funeral ;~; Such a beautifully emotional song.

I quite like this song... not really for the lyrics (though they're good), but for the sound, I remember it at the end of X, it's got the right sort of sound for a sci fi soundtrack or something. Especially the solo in the middle, sounds like it belongs in a space opera or something.

Everytime I hear this beautiful song, I just stop wherever I am just to listen to it and cry... It hits very deeply in the scar I have in my own heart, I know I'm not the only one, this is brilliant! ^____^
In Japan people usually think that a movie, song, etc. is perfect when it makes people cry from sadness or happiness...and I think so too. I miss X-Japan. I miss hide.. ;____;
