Lyrics for Morning Glory as interpreted by kevin

Morning Glory Lyrics
(song begins with helicopter sound FX)
(radio conversation between a man and a woman mumbled in the
background, but I can't understand what they're saying)
(FX and radio fade out to background music, then the lyrics begin)

All your dreams are made
When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade
Today's the day that all the world will see
Another sunny afternoon
Walking to the sound of my favorite tune
Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to wake up wake up
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to rest your mind
You know you should so I guess you might as well
What's the story morning glory?
Well
You need a little time to wake up wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory?
Well
Need a little time to wake up wake up
(guitar solo)
All your dreams are made
When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade
Today's the day that all the world will see
Another sunny afternoon
Walking to the sound of my favorite tune
Tomorrow never knows what it doesn't know too soon
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to wake up wake up
Need a little time to wake up
Need a little time to rest your mind
You know you should so I guess you might as well
What's the story morning glory?
Well
Need a little time to wake up wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory?
Well
You need a little time to wake up wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory?
Well
Need a little time to wake up wake up
Well
What's the story morning glory?
(I said) well
Need a little time to wake up wake up
(yet another guitar solo)
(back to helicopter sound FX)
(more mumbled radio conversation, then song ends)

This song is about Cocaine Addiction. This lyrics gives it away.
"When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade"
Which is 2 pretty common peices of Coke paraphernalia.

Alco the fact i read in a mag somewhere that that is what it was about in a Oasis interview. The lead singer was a coke addict for sometime.

the intro to this kicks ass, all the effects and bits of other stuff jumping in and out and then goes straight into a kickass chord progression

Personally I think it's about drugs because morning glory is a kind of drug that makes you hallucinate. And it says " need a little time you rest your mind" and the reference to a mirror and razor. so uh, yeah.

i think it's about drugs too.. i mean cmon where's music without drugs.. and when you're famous and around drugs you're bound to write about them.. and i think this was one of them for Noel.. well im almost positive becuase ive seen several times that he's said that.. and it makes sense. anyways great song with some great lines.. real rocker

Morning Glory is also a nickname for the phenomenon common in EVERY male known as "morning wood". The whole drug angle probably is true... but you never know.

i don't think that drugs are necessary for music and that's pretty ignorant. but it is a beautiful song, from a beautiful album. there is love for noel and liam.

The song is about drugs and in an interview Liam described Morning Glory as waking up with a "large one".

Its to do with a comment Noel Gallagher made in an interview that for the band, doing drugs in the morning was as normal and common as other people having a cup of coffee. The mirror and razorblade are cocaine paraphanalia - Liam and Noel are two notorious cokeheads

Great song and a very good band. And for the record, morning glory is a common name for a drug, acid.

My fav part: "All Your Dreams Are Made, When You're Chained To The Mirror And The Razor Blade. Today's The Day That All The World Will See..." anyone got any idea what that might mean? It sounds like someone who cuts themselves, and today the world will see the scars. But that's a crap interpretation coz the rest of the song is certainly not about self-injury. So I dunno. Anyone help me with this??

The coke allusion sticks with me... but a friend of mine believes it's about puberty, when a guy starts growing stubble and starts having to shave for the rest of his life (Chained to the mirror and a razorblade) and the whole morning glory erection thing... but anyways..

it's about a guy who's just woken up from a damn good dream and it's talking about morning glory as in an erection. i like the puberty idea.. coz a coke addiction would make no sense seeing as far as i know noel was never an addict.

This song is about taking coke hence "When you're chained to the mirror and the razor blade", and morning glory is a mans boner. So add it together you get taking so much coke you can get a boner. It isn't that hard to work out. Anyone one who has taken coke will know that sometimes its hard to get it up.
