I'm sittin' in a magic hat
With smoke and mirrors
And tire rubber fires
Watch me disappear
What made it slow you down
Sucking on a ball and chain
Another motherfucker goes down the drain
Hard headed fuck you all
Just add it up to the hot rod death toll
Sick in the head sick in the mouth
And I can't hear a word you say
Not a bit, and I don't give a shit
I got the glass, I got the steel
I got the love to hate
All I need is your head on a stake
Hard headed fuck you all
Just add it on the hot rod death toll
With smoke and mirrors
And tire rubber fires
Watch me disappear
What made it slow you down
Sucking on a ball and chain
Another motherfucker goes down the drain
Hard headed fuck you all
Just add it up to the hot rod death toll
Sick in the head sick in the mouth
And I can't hear a word you say
Not a bit, and I don't give a shit
I got the glass, I got the steel
I got the love to hate
All I need is your head on a stake
Hard headed fuck you all
Just add it on the hot rod death toll

he was extremely racist as well and was famous for his rough style of play
His mother, however, accidentally killed his father while he was spying on her to see if she was with another man in their own house.
I loved this song as a kid. Boy Soundgarden's lyrics were so incredibaly difficult to dicifer. Especially without the lyric page. I always assumed the chorus went like: I HATE YOU SO FUCK YOU ALL. CAN I HAVE MY MENTHOL (cigarette). Instead of " Hard headed fuck you all. Just add it up. To the hot rod death toll".
This was the best album in Chris Cornell's career. This song is a great pick me up. Also, I encourage you to see the movie "Cobb". If you are a fan of Soundgarden then you'll be a fan of "Cobb". I totally hated baseball, but after I saw "Cobb" a few years back I love the sport. Find myself going to Phillies game frequently.
Greatest chorus in the history of man. How do you not get fired up when listening to this song? Perfect title, since Ty Cobb was such an asshole. I agree that it's about a murderer or about somebody who thinks about killing but would never actually do it. While the message isn't great, never play this when you are mad at somebody. You might go psycho.
Just add 'em to the HOT ROD DEATH TOLL!!
