Words are flying out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe.
Pools of sorrow waves of joy are drifting through my open mind,
Possessing and caressing me.
Jai Guru De Va Om
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes,
That call me on and on across the universe,
Thoughts meander like a restless wind
Inside a letter box they
Tumble blindly as they make their way
Across the universe
Jai Guru De Va Om
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Sounds of laughter shades of earth are ringing
Through my open ears inciting and inviting me.
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns,
It calls me on and on across the universe
Jai Guru De Va Om
Nothing’s gonna change my world
Nothing’s gonna change my world.

General Comment:This is the best version ever!! I've always found the original to be a bit fast. But this version is soft and at the right tempo, Fiona's voice and the music is soothing.

General Comment:I think the original's a bit too fast. I think this is the best version/cover anybody has done. Fiona's voice and the music is just so soothing.

General Comment:Well when I hear Fionna sing this song I hear a tone of melancholy. And that is odd given the context of the original song. I believe that Fionna is saying How lovely this idea is how much I wish it was true and how sad that it isn't. The word are the same the meaning is completely diffrent and that is a sign of an excellent artist. I believe the reason so many of us believe this song is better is that it reflect the disillusion that came with the end of the 60's.

    Memory:
A friend sent me this video when I was dealing with a major illness in the family. Somehow watching Fiona Apple sing so serenely about love in the midst of chaos was very comforting.

General Comment:I always thought it was "Jaques dear" and "Nothing's going to change my words" I thought she was dumping someone called Jaques. My dreams have been ruined.

General Comment:This is a beautiful song. One of the best covers i've heard in a long time. I heard it on the movie 'pleasantville' a few years ago and it's still one of my fave's today.
