You're an empty promise
You're an easy chair
You're the gods forces
Struck down somewhere

You're a secret noticed
You're a mystery sky
You're a wish floated
Up to the night

Medellia of my eyes
You're the emptiness of I
You're the reason that I write
And if you say you will
I would love you still

And if I could
I'd throw away this world
I'd dress you all in pearls
I'd give you what you wanted

You're all I notice
In a crowded room
Your vacant notice
unmoved, revealed

Medellia of my eyes
You're the emptiness of I
You're the reason that I drive
And if you say you will
I would love you still

And if I just could
Be anything for you
Just anyone at all
Anything that mattered, washed out

You're the silly reasons
In a goldfish laugh
You're the ageless seasons
At rest, at last

My Interpretation:So "Medellia" is pronounced (MEH-DEE-UH) in the song I think. I was watching X-Files of all things the other day and "Medea", a woman from a Greek myth was mentioned. So I looked her up on wiki. Apparently, she helped a hero named Jason complete all of these ridiculous tasks that would have risked his and her own life, including killing her own brother and supposedly scattering his body parts all over the place so that she was able to safely escape her home with Jason in order to marry him.

I think that Corgan could possibly be paying homage to her and any woman that is akin to her. Any romantic man dreams of a woman that would go to such lengths to be with him. Pretty interesting. Anyhow, I had a shirt made with lyrics from this song on it and a woman's face. This song has a big impact on my life. Thanks Billy.

General Comment:the word medellia is almost identical to the word medallia in hebrew wich means simply a Medal - medallion , A prize.. i think thats what he meant, although i real don't have a clue

General Comment:So...I've been searching forever for the meaning of the word "medellia" and haven't been able to find anything. I never thought of it as being a girl's name, as it seems some have, so I was always curious. Anyway, I found a similar word that Billy may have adapted "medellia" from. "Medulla" means "the inner core of certain organs or structures". I thought that maybe the inner core is the subject of the song, and the organ is his heart. Just throwing it out there.
