  General Comment:Don't Close Your Heart is a song about not giving up on love, or losing hope. It makes me feel good when I hear it, and Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights is my favorite HIM album. In one of the last posts I read someone said that Ville said this song was for his young fans. Well, I'm not young, but I love the song anyway. The entire album just has a soothing affect on me when i listen. It's about the highs and lows in love. Deep and Brilliant.

  General Comment:i don't think it's one of ville's most lyrical songs. it is simple and doesn't have much depth and metaphor in it. i don't think he wanted it that way. if he did he would've made it more complicated. usually his lyrics are deep and have more than one meaning to them. the actual meaning is one so deep and secret only ville knows. he has said this before. so for people who say this is a poor written song i think, they're wrong. i think, he wanted it simple. simple so people could have a song to uplift them in rough times. a song to make them feel loved. a simple song everyone understands.
  at least that's how it is for me. it's one of my favorite songs by them.
  i'm getting the line baby, just don't close your heart tattooed small on the back of my next soon.

  i actually like this song along.true,the instrumentals are pretty simple but so are beautiful and love you like i do.its a very straighforward ending to the album. its very uplifting. you dont have to interpret it with love.its simply saying, no matter how hard life might get,stay strong and keep your chin up

  General Comment:This song has grown on me a lot recently. It's becoming one of my favorite HIM songs.
  Even though the song is kind of cheesy, and as cheesy as my feelings are, I feel the love of God when I listen to this.

  General Comment:Probably the reason why people seem to like this song less than the other HIM songs is because the speaker is the total opposite to the speaker of all the other songs. This song is sung by a savior.
  Ville once said in an interview that the person singing this song is trying to save the person who sings "Join Me."
