There was a time
When I could breath my life in you
One by one
Your pale fingers started to move
And I touched your face
And all life was erased
You smiled like an angel
(falling from grace)

We've been slaves to this love
From the moment we touched
And keep begging for more
Of this resurrection

We've been slaves to this love
From the moment we touched
And keep begging for more
Of this resurrection

You kissed my lips
With those once cold fingertips
You reached out for me
And oh how you missed
You touched my face
And all life was erased
You smiled like an angel
(Falling from grace)

We've been slaves to this love
From the moment we touched
And keep begging for more
Of this resurrection

We've been slaves to this love
From the moment we touched
And keep begging for more
Of this resurrection

General Comment:I think its a combination of both sex like some people keep mentioning, and a relationship that isnt working but neither wants to end it. The moaning is to symbolize how maybe thats why they are staying together, the sex. I dont know however if they are staying together for the sex, or if theyre trying to keep it alive by forcing the sex.

My Opinion:This is by far my favourite H.I.M song... It show's Ville's emotion, and he's an amazing singer.

General Comment:Oh, and I forgot to say that the song ends suddenly because it ends with the death of her.

General Comment:Since the moment I heard this song it became one of my favourites but, not like others, I couldn't even decipher the meaning and it has been haunting me for all these years. Everyday I listen to it just to try to understand.
For some reason, I think that this song refers to somebody who is dead. The way the music start at the beggining is like a fading out that is fading in. It reminds me of somebody whi is dead in the middle of an ash desert and he goes and find her. When he finds his love dead he says that there was a time when he could give her life. And then I think he sees her trying to reach for him because she is not dead but dying and that's why he's saying that they keep begging for more of this ressurection.
It is very weird but it is one of my favourite songs ever!
Now, another thing is that there is a video on youtube, this song live in concert and at the beggining Valo says that since it is easter he's gonna sing a song that talks about Jesus Christ and that song is ressurection, so I really don't know but i love it!!!!

General Comment:He met a young lady, and during that time, he made her forget about past relationships, and past troubles. and since they were together they have been trying to find a way to resurect that pure and unadulterated feeling they had when they first met, as problems tend to plague relationships, and they begin to grow stale.

its a very well written song using the basics of most him songs...they paradox things quite often...in this case...love and loss...they lost love, found new love, and lost again...beautiful pardox of the two as usual.

General Comment:I think people are taking this song the wrong way.
He says; "There was a time" right at the start.
He then refers to the past tense from then on.
So this was probably a relationship that has ended already.
I think Ville was just writing about (maybe not personally) an old flame and he wrote this song in the style of how he remembers the love he felt.

    Thats my opinion =] !

We've been slaves to this love
    From the moment we touched
    And keep begging for more
    Of this resurrection
