Lyrics for Join Me In Death as interpreted by Fistan

Join Me In Death Lyrics
We are so young
our lives have just begun
but already we're considering
escape from this world

and we've waited for so long
for this moment to come
was so anxious to be together
together in death

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

This world is a cruel place
and we're here only to lose
so before live tears us apart let
death bless me with you

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

this live ain't worth living

if HIM existed during shakespearean times, romeo and julie would've died definitely singing this song.

This song is a portrail of Ville's passion of rather having death than no love. This is inspirational for all those crazy kid's who think of suicide and although may seem to encourage people to take thier own lives i think there is a bit of clever reverse pshycology used. Either way this is a very touching song and HIM's finest! PEACE OUT!

This song is the same as Romeo And Juliet. He is asking if she loves him enough that she would be willing to join him in death.

i agree completely with radicaleward76, and to all the suicidal emo fags out there: if you're dumb enough to kill yourself, you don't deserve to live anyways.

Actually HIM doesnt stand for anything.

What does HIM stand for?
- Ville's comments on this issue (from Soundi 6-7/2001):

Well, sometimes I wish that we’d picked other name for the band than HIM. The name constantly pisses me off. It’s utterly terrible! HIM! The upside is that it doesn’t actually mean anything, there are just three letters which are pronounced similarily in basically every language. It’s practical.

In almost every interview someone asks what does HIM stand for. I can’t even remember our latest lie about that. When Hanson was hot, we said it means Hanson Is Murder. The name doesn’t have a particular history. His Infernal Majesty was a totally different band. I think HIM derives from some death metal joke. And it was our protest to Haile Selassie’s rastafarian religion, he used to be called His Imperial Majesty. But nowadays because of Linde’s hair, we actually might be supporting him.

I think the reason people get so fed up with bands like HIM and feel it nessacary to post on thier lyrics page without actually liking them (cough*me*cough) is because thier fed up of poor poor kids (like you guys) listening to this shite and thinking it's actually good music. THIS IS NOT GOOD MUSIC. You need to open your mind and ears my little HIM freaks. Yep...
This songs catchy, but then again so is Baby....One More Time.

(But yes, Ville Valo is one sexy biotch..)

I don't see where any one person is able to judge what music is good and what music isn't.

Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

I gotta say...all the people that get so worked up about HIM being shit, just don't get it. I like HIM but for God's sakes, I don't take them utterly seriously. How could you? I think Valo knows that the band are as far from being metal or goth as anything else, and I think that some of his lyrics are really tongue-in-cheek because they're so bad they couldn't possibly be serious. Look at 'The Funeral of Hearts'.

And the whole 'Love Metal' thing? I am so sick of guys bitching about how gay the band is and how shit that title is because hello, it's a JOKE. Please credit Valo with one shred of intelligence. Ever notice how he gives a different answer to most questions in every interview? The man knows how to play to his audience. 'Love Metal' is primarily a reference to the "oh baby" style lyrics of the '70s-'80s original metal. The fact that people seriously think the band would describe their sound like that is laughable.

So haters and fanatics alike, get a sense of humour already and do some research.

Don't you see people? Valo is really a vampire who was cast out by his own kind. He is in desperate search of acceptance and now he has found his true gateway. A gothic figure composed of pure image who has lost his path, and now, he is attempting to regain it by promoting his dark realm of bloodsucking sex appeal to all the vulnerable ladies out there in hopes of drawing them to the masses of his kind for the sole purpose of reacceptance into his nightcrawling clan.

It's really very simple and so very obvious.

Love themed pop/metal with a depressive suicidal twist.

Sort of a slow motion dreamworld flow to it.

Ingeniously devised system of strategy for his dark, conniving purpose.

I really don't like HIM and I do not approve of their plot.

(This was not meant to be taken as disrespect by the fans)

Could be a warning though...
