About the whole satanic debate

at Hultsfred festivalen in Sweden this year they started on song with "jada jada jada.. because they're not satanic enough"

then he said something like they'd been satanic but not anymore..
I think it was more of an image thing at the beginning wich they realised would give them bad PR so they quit it. a little


still great band..
but they're too mainstream nowadays..

I really don't understand the whole "Man, they are so mainstream" thing, the way I see it, if I like a band (God knows, I don't like HIM), I would want them to make a lot of fans (and as a result, a lot of money, also), because they deserve their popularity and other people are obviously seeing what I see in them (again, I am talking hypothetically, I hate HIM and their popularity baffles the shit out of me, I mean, they are so fucking wan...), but at the same time, I can understand that it would be a bit of a wounder, to have supported a band, from its inception, only to watch some closet homosexual-ass-clown like Bam Margera, invite the kind of fly by night popularity more comonly associated with boybands. (If any part of this sounds homophobic in anyway, I assure you, it isn't, I just really wish Bam Margera would Suck Valo off, and confirm what everyone else already knows...). Also, I know this kind of shit well, I am deeply into heavy metal and am frequently turning "pub-toilet" aquaintances onto underground bands, only for {said band} to blow up and result in people coming up to me, telling me how awesome {said band} is, the fact is, if a band is worth listening to and has the conviction and the drive to succeed, 9 times out of 10, they will get famous regardless...

hmm, I believe HIM is abotu the same as any other band.. they do what they want because its what they like.. if they wanna go and tattoo 'eat me' on their foreheads they can do it because they can. They could come out on mtv and fucking praise satan and it would be kool. because you stupid people that wanna sit and bitch about ville valo and the way he looks and dresses and acts are the true definition of whats wrong with metal music today. its all about image and thats all anyone cares about .. fuck all you guys HIM is awesome

whats is wrong with the music they make i dont hear ne one bitching about their music i see 'whoever likes him is gay and any male that listens to him is a fag' well douche .. think about it .. everytime you put them down it makes someone stick up for them .. which in turn you are just giving more to them .. and i was stating the fact that most peopel base their judgements on image and i wasnt saying that i base my choice in music on image.. i wouldnt care if ville valo was a 900 pound midget id still like his music and his band and id still be in here defending their music

this song is what makes me question the integrity of music. Honestly, what is this bullshit? This is for the kids who shop at Hot Topic. It is not deep, nor metaphorical, nor making any statement of life or love or anything at all. It's a shitty song for wanna-be goths who love anything that mentions death.

WOW so many comments ont his song I can't read through them all....but this really is a great song its the first song I ever heard by them (and the first video) and I just loved it so much and I've been hooked on HIM since :) they are such an awesome song and this is a kick ass song! :D
